Lovely day today ... got out there after I'd had me hamster juice - and some lunch ...
life's so much easier with these to use

... need one to fill the gap and space 'em out a little more .. and one for the out-feed ..

as I said to Doob some time ago ... raising some sections in the vice, especially flats, makes for a much easier life for the blade as it's cutting a smaller portion than if it was flat in the vice
got a load of stuff lopped up and chucked a couple more of these in the Harrison
then set about shaping all the bits on the belt grinder after I'd holed the cheeks ... going fine 'til ...
never had one of these let go on the taped joint, like this before

... usually give notice ...
this un didn't and came off at 30m/s (67 mph) and whacked / slapped the front of my leg as the tail came out the front ...
to say it hurt is an understatement ...

by the time I'd turned the motor off, put down the lump of 50 x 12 I had in my hand and grabbed a hold of my leg, it had a massive lump coming up and I thought I'd sustained some serious damage ...

jeans were still in one piece, even after getting flailed by the grit side and I dropped 'em with some trepidation as, I have a fair collection of varicose veins, right where it hit ... I thought they'd burst, the size of the lump !!

Having confirmed that, other than a bit of a gash, some serious bruising was imminent, couldn't really see any burst veins and me leg wasn't filling with blood, pulled me jeans back up, got a new belt out, loaded it and carried on ..
only had a couple of bits left to do and was coming up to grub time, so wanted to get finished..

collection of bits ready for assembly tomorrow - assuming I can walk

... and me bearings arrive
had me tea and sidled off to inspect the leg

.. Pam didn't comment/take much notice of the limp ... I always limp by the end of a day .. got a collapsed arch in me left foot, so it's nothing new and she'd not sussed it was the other leg I was carrying ...

swelling'd gone down a bit two hours later
still hurt like **** , but didn't seem to be anything too alarming going on ...

looking better-ish tonight, but reckon it's gonna be technicolour by the morning and is 'solid' ... one very bruised muscle tissue

Now all I gotta do is hide it from Pam for a few days, 'til it doesn't look quite so 'pronounced' ... and I don't get any ear ache for it

Squeak jumping on it an hour ago DID not help !!!!
