so the length of 70 mil ended up in the Startrite this morning ..... along with a certain massacred pin for 'adjustment' .....

lopped and ready to assemble

last two to get fitted in the morning .... got pee-ed on this evening

half a bar left .... and all me 70 stuff now have their own pins ....... bar one, which needs cheeks first ... I'll get round to it sometime

this morning, when the cover came off

weather has not been helpful today ..... have had some serious downpours, on/off, all day, considering all that was forecast was the odd light shower .... late this afternoon I'd hate to see what a heavy one is like

had Clara at 11.45 after her 'first' day in 'big school' ...

growing quick!!

Hamster juice didn't sit well .... doesn't occasionally and haven't felt like doing a lot today,
haven't even opened me boxes today
new pins in the Geith last night ...

these came out of it and went back to where i'd nicked 'em from ...

and the 7 footer got it's new pin...

too dark last night for pix, by the time i'd got 'em all in and greased up ....

just sheeted it down as it looked like it was gonna leather down ..... but now't as yet

Seems a lot more than 4 days since i was typing here last .... been a busy week ... Clara every day at 11.45 ... starts full days in school Monday
Tuesday morning was a bench morning sorting a little project for Reo

which got curtailed 'bout half twelve, when Pam and 'guess who' arrived
only one who had a productive afternoon was Reo ..

I had to wait 'til after tea to get on with mine ....

his job in Norfolk, he's got to go back to after he's gotten to the gate pillar is on a second floor/two lifts up and I'd acquired him an 'assistant' ... which needed an extra .....

seems like a decent little tool for hoiking a barra'ful o' muck or blocks up two floors ..... he certainly seemed well chuffed with it
finished the day off in the usual manner .....

disposing of yet another deceased pallet and a load of general crud

half eleven Wed.s morning and Reo is getting himself round a kick in the wall ...... with consummate excellence ...

and I'd gotten the last of me new ones greased and in place in me 'Scoop'

and demo-ed his new toy/assistant ...
clamp this bit on first ... where yer want it ....

then it's a POP to hang the next bit on, slip the lower pin in and screw it home

managed to get about 270 degs of swing on it

Looks like a good gadget for him! Coat of shiny tish for it next? I have a couple of those up in the top of the garage for dangling stuff from.

You know, the usual, dog guard from the landie, a decorative cage, and young ladies.

's only a week or so since I last massacred the green stuff ..... and having inspected it after lunch, decided i was NOT gonna be doing a triple cut again ... Gave the Dane a gallop around beside the drive ...... then showed it the lawn .....

My new co-pilot loved riding around between my legs .... couldn't get her off it ...... give her a couple of years growing and she'll be in her element
Ran the countax round to pick it all up ......three collector-fulls ... been some bit of growth in a week !!!!!

and having run it round the majority of what i can get at on the side of the drive, had some pile ......... took me 20 minutes to relocate it all down the bank after!!
Wed.s evening .... and a beautiful job on getting round/past the kick point

lunch time yesterday

and tea time ........

A lovely day here yesterday .... wasn't really warm enough for this, but not if you're only four (an' a big bit) ....... .. guess who got wet

mistake giving 'the monkey' the high ground again ...... but a limited water supply
Lights get checked every day ..... just in case ... easier to sort when 'tain't set hard

and progress this evening

and this afternoon's entertainment (for the best part of an hour, anyway ) ... chucking windfalls up and down the pipe under the drive .....

Aye! Hopefully have all the bits needed to do the Kia footwell lights this weekend. Would have liked to have my step drill here to do the front plastic holes, but will just have to take em up to the workshop and drill them on the pillar drill where I have an 18mm bit.

I plan on filming the whole thing for YouTube and so I can flog a few kits!

I have an electric hoist that looks the same as that one.

I have found that when lifting heavy weights with it the up / down switch doesn’t last long.

By not long I mean only a few days.

My advice would be to get a few spares to hand if it’s a machine that’s going to be used by someone to earn a living. If you look up ‘momentary rocker switch’ on you favourite internet supplies site you will find packs of 5 for only a few quid. Cheap insurance if you ask me.

I used to have a 3 jaw chuck just like that one too. They are a vice for round things.

last night's little potter ..... bloody paint'd gone to jelly ... only an inch left in the tin and the lid can't have been perfectly on enough to coat it though, underneath it all

thanks for the heads up Rob .... see what i can find, and /or stick a small 240v relay in the handle ... switch contacts obviously can't handle the starting current

The fella suggested to me by the seller is after 450 quid plus the Vodka for an 80 mile run down with 2t x 8ft x 3 ft lump on a little flat bed ... I off load (with the duck) .... seems bloody excessive/expensive to me .... Told they use him regularly????? and get their palm greased simultaneously i'd think ... Morning's work realistically ..... or am I completely off the mark ??
