gave it the roller for a couple of hours this morning ... could do with some more fines in places ... or a bloody good down pour (but don't really want that to happen - once it starts it never knows when to stop) 
.... then spent a couple of hours, putting a dumpy full of 20 mil. to dust through the mixer, filling the 9" hollows in the wall .... one dumpy's enough for one day .. knackered !!
couple of hours grand-dadding after school, before Vicki picked Clara up, then finished the day off in the customary manner ...
yet more shite gone up in smoke
got an appointment with another dumpy in the a.m. ......... assuming I can walk tomorrow

was stood looking at me scrap bins and a pile of dead batteries, pondering WTF to park 'em and thinking the bins were not going to take kindly to being moved (plastic 45s, which hadn't taken kindly to the UV they've been subjected to the last few years they've been stood in it) .... when Tony my scrap man drove onto me patch in his truck ..... couldn't have timed it better if I'd called him ... so man handled said 'fragile' bins into me fave Geith and dropped 'em in the back of his truck and gave it a good squashing down while I was at it .... said he's not stopped all through the 'madness' ... never been so busy

Yes boyo ... got the roller off it ATM .... easier spreading that way round .... roller ain't so great on these planings ... not enough binding in this lot

Yes. Kerbs from stoke on trent. Was on hire doing droppers, taking these out and putting concrete drop kerbs in. I sold a fair few, £8 per foot 15 years ago. I wouldn't like to imagine using them without the grab.

Reo'd not been here Thurs/Fri as he'd a shed slab pre-booked months ago for a regular, much to his annoyance .. he's off to Norfolk again tomorrow night for two weeks and really wanted to reach our gate, 'fore he went

whilst I gave his new chainsaw a bit of a sharpen, amongst other things ... he'd had to clear some crimbo trees from where the shed base was going thursday ... and found a meat hook!!

... not what you'd expect to find !! ... chain was a tad blunt.so whilst i'd got the gear out, gave my two some TLC too
good strip, blast out and sharpen up ready for some action shortly ... that oak's on borrowed time now I have sorted everything ready for a box move.

Leccy board round this morning ... obviously looking for a fault .... spent way too long buzzing the lines, for just a routine inspection ....
wondered if it had anything to do with our lack of BB since yesterday??
went off at 09.00 and not had a damned thing since ..... spent an hour and five minutes on hold to SSE this morning and a further half hour going through the history of our last couple of weeks of engineer visits, etc.
... then got a call from the usual lad as he'd seen the log of our issues ...... I'll give him his due ... he's relentlessly pursuing 'em ..... so should have engineer #8 here tomorrow .... but it's miraculously returned at 8.30 this evening ?????? thought I'd better give Reo's new hoist/winch a try this morning .... seeing as he'd need it Wednesday ...

...... should save him a lot of grunting .... aside from the initial lug up, onto the scaff. .......he's been busy building the remaining two lights in for us today .... give them some protection, 'til the rest is finished .. be just my luck for some numpty to run into 'em whilst he's away .....

I can confirm it is true. We had months of problems which we finally resolved with a small radio. Cant remember the frequency. It picked up the interference and we managed to isolate the problem to our own house. It was a phone booster that had fried itself after a power surge. It knocked out ours and the locals down from 2meg to 0.5stone flags -- 500 wide ..... need to go shopping shortly ..... not gonna be cheap, but do it once
