Was just local council roads been planed, dug out a large section of the yard out and stoned it up and covered with planing. Always had to reverse into our yard with the low loader so was handy to make a large turning circle. Had to keep shoving the pile up with a D6 they were relentless, still got a stock pile sitting for further use.All I can say is
[a] you're lucky to have the space/need for 1000 tons (50 lorry loads
and
even luckier to be able to take yet another 50 lorry loads and have all them planings 'on tap'
no chance around here !!

bloody brilliant price, but for that quantity, hardly surprising if they wanted shot of 'em in a hurry - and score 3 grand in one go

.... man have we had some rain ... but not as much as a lot of folk, it would seem from the news and social media posts. ... of some weird looking things. .... hopefully some of it will have dried a bit tomorrow and get what's left off there....as much as poss. anyway three drums of leaves have bitten the dust this afters ... ...... run the 'Drema up and left her to warm up a bit, whilst I dragged a few lumps off the top of the planings pile .... grabbed me rigger gloves out the cab, slipped on the right one and slid me hand into the left, as I bent down to grab a lump ..... WTF ... must have a thorn in that ...... nope, hurting way too much ... .... b'stard had my second knuckle 3 times before I got it off .... very swollen fingers and wrist not working too well today, to go with the problem I already have had for a few weeks with my left shoulder/arm ... 'swhat the MRI was for the other day ... Gaucher's is known for producing skeletal problems in sufferers ... me left side is not working as well as it was ... and even less today. ..... it got the roller for an hour and a half ..... .... few bits to 'trim' at the bank edge, for the drain first though .... bad planning
..... yesterday however I did get a bit done .... not as much as I'd planned, due to a dead battery on't Thwaites .. new one time me thinks .... so got the long narrow bit filled ..... ..... gonna need a new drum soon too ... t'ain't gonna last much longer ....... and amazingly voluminous
...... Alex had called in there today, on his way back to mine and came back with a special delivery of Engcon 'goodies' .... Me old Engcon cap's looking a bit tired .... especially beside this new one and gonna be the envy of anyone in the know, at Centerparcs' pool, (if I get dragged off there again), with this smart new black and yellow beach towel 
- I have a little wagon coming end of November thats going to leave us seriously short of storage compared to what it replaces , one we have now has a large tool chest full width between cab and tipper new one has small strap box as the hook gear is in the way ,so Im going to have to get creative to store - laser/hand tools/toolbox/stone saw etc etc - did think about a full width ally chest that sits inside tipper that we can lift out on a job with digger but it would be a PITA to get into if its left on the truck as its pretty high up being a hookloader - if it looks too challenging for normal shaped boxes then maybe I could measure up the nooks and crannies and these guys would make up something

..... These people obviously take a great pride in their work ..... beautifully crafted - the body and the boxes ... perfect dimensionally .... or they wouldn't have fitted ... and (b) accurately measure them up to (c) sketch them up to send off for fab.-ing.
