I would say the next month will be absolutely perfect grass seed weather if the forecast pans out. We are due light showers most days now.

They often have turf on pallets in B+Q here, and also sometimes in B+M (if you have those down there). I’ve never paid any attention to prices, though I’d imagine it’s a dear way to buy it. Doesn’t look like you need to cover a massive area though.

then I'll have to decide how to lay it -- across or top to bottom - think that might be the best way

I always use to do it at 45 degrees to where ever you where most likely to stand. That way it was hardest to see any mistakes. Same with any paving.yeh - had considered B&Q as a source ... last time I looked I didn't think it was particularly dear TBH ..... rough calc is 24-26 M2

got the last skip-full and a two thirds full skip down to do the flower bed in front of the wall this morning and spread about - just 'fore it rained - for about 5 minutes
sheeted the trailer last night as the forecast was a wet couple of hours - glad I did - had a few hours rain
now empty and swept out with the two wheels back on after their new valve fitment and 60psi inserted in all 6 (carry two spares with it)
and parked back in it's usual spot, nose high
then woke up the P38 .. had to faff about with the air spendies and the bloody axle ride height sensors to get it to jack up (must get the damned things changed and MOT it) .. hooked up the Ifor and reversed it down to get Lil Jake, back on the patch
he's quite a lump when you get him in the Ifor .. P38's the tug for it though - auto makes life so easy in reverse and it barely notices there's anything behind it
back up to where he lives and fuel-ed him up ... can't recall what was on the clock when he arrived but ...
ain't a lot more ... done more this last week or so, than for a long time .... just looked and it was 2381.3 .. surprised at 93 hrs TBH
anyways -- the Ifor's bed, as mentioned elsewhere is looking er ... ferked - again
gonna try summat different next time (soon)
the girls're here tomorrow so dropped the skip off the chassis and got the box body back on ...
three slide bolts and its attached ... got a 12v linear actuator here somewhere and've been meaning to see if I cant fit it under there somewhere - was always meant to be a tipper
amazed this morning to find that the pheasants hadn't 'assaulted' yesterday's efforts - not a mark on it - they were dust bathing at every opportunity before - 'praps it's gotten a bit cold for them
and here's the end product..........
am well happy to have found the guy doing the topsoil ... got a yard full of all sorts - does grab lorries and sorts all that comes back - got a mountain of tidy crush, hard core, various sized recycled concrete and of course the screened soil, all 2 miles from me ... cost me 50 quid for three damned good loads (supposedly a tonne each) - Kia says different
nice guys to deal with and so handy
so on to the next job ....

the axle ride height sensors on the back end are playing up and read intermittently putting into EAS fault mode and dropping it to the bump stops (at inconvenient moments) - got a new set here but developing the enthusiasm to deal with the 29 yr old M6,s with captive nuts, holding them on is uphill .. not easy to get at ... I will get to it -- eventually, when I'm feeling enthused which'd be sooner rather than later, if I hadn't sold me 4 post ramp

was determined to have a go at 'em yesterday.... got in it to run it up and get the air jacked up ... went to get out and the steering wheel was 'floppy as ****' ... can alter the angle and length on P38s and the mechanism'd decided to play silly buggers .. took me hours to get the nacel off from around the stalk and then work out just WTF was causing it -- 's one complex set up, which is damned difficult to even see what does what ... sussed it in the end - a sticky detent ballthe axle ride height sensors on the back end are playing up and read intermittently putting into EAS fault mode and dropping it to the bump stops (at inconvenient moments) - got a new set here but developing the enthusiasm to deal with the 29 yr old M6,s with captive nuts, holding them on is uphill .. not easy to get at ... I despair of the state of courier services lately and their total ineptitude to perform what is a basically a pretty simple task.
I'll await further comm.s from you after you have managed to speak with fedex (a privilege few seem able to achieve - finding a contact number for any carrier is nigh on impossible)

thanks for your reply.
Fedex needs to contact their driver, tell him to return to wherever the clown left the delivery, collect it and then deliver it to the address on the shipping label. It's what he's paid to do !!
deliveries are getting worse and worse to be honest .. we have a good if not excellent driveway - smooth tarmac - so no excuses for not using it
drivers are just too lazy to even bother trying to find a correct address - any one will do - as long as it's in the PC area
I did a couple of miles yesterday, looking for an Evri drop in the wrong place ... I have no intentions of repeating it today ... Fedex can sort their own **** up out this time

I've just received a notification that fedex have delivered to me , which they haven't.
their system does not provide a photographic 'proof of delivery' so i can not even try to guess where they have delivered to?
I would be grateful if you could;
(a) establish where they claim to have delivered to in what is quite a large Post Code area,
(b) provide a photo for me to view and
(c) make a serious complaint to them regarding the standards of their service -
delivering to ANY address within a PC area is not good enough
there is only one address on the shipping label - MINE!!
I may sound frustrated as i am - this is a constant and ever increasing issue with most carriers, who employ drivers who are simply too idle to actually do their job correctly ...

I've lost count of the number of times I have had to go in search of a delivery - I'm in a rural area (out in the sticks) and it covers a big area.
at least i've met some of the neighbours LOL
Fedex (and most of the others) have no excuses as they've all been here many times before
if you receive a morning time slot, they should have no reason not to fulfil it.
anything after 15.00 I take with a pinch of salt as it rarely arrives

can you please confirm whether these idiots have delivered to the first address they came to in my post code (I am sick and tired of driving around the various addresses in my post code area looking for deliveries to the wrong / not my address, made by lazy courier drivers), or whether they have not made a delivery at all??
this is most unlike your usual prompt service

I`ve had it today with APC, someone else`s parcel their invoice and address in the pouch, a sticker with bar codes etc and their details, (correct contents matching their invoice) and a sticker with my details, my parcel no where in sight and no one seems to know about it. worse thing I`m waiting for the partsread from the bottom up .... had a similar performance with Evri last Friday -- usual bloke's on holiday -- ****ing carriers

My mum keeps getting Amazon parcels for a fella down the lane...so she's had enough. Put a massive cardboard sign saying x doesn't live here and any parcels addressed to him will be dumped
