Oi oi - thats exactly what I want to do with my Barn/workshop in the very near future :p
Got a pile of 150mm Celotex seconds waiting to go in between the purlins. They are 6x2 set about 5ft apart.
Was thinking of stuffing them up there and covering with OSB or thin ply......
If you cut them accurately you can just squeeze/push/tap them in and they will self support. Horrible things to cut though.

Borrowed one of those to do the insulation in the barn refurb. Bloody good!!!
Yes bought one for my own self build. Will probably sell it once the project is finished. Not cheap but worth every penny. Surprised the makita and Milwaukee stable don’t have a similar product available

Been insulating the workshop over the last few days........................................................................................................................................................................
Having enjoyed this game in the past…. This is why I spent all my money on insulated sheets for the next shed . Working upside down with PIR is a horrible task .

Also ,i detest working with 150mm pir,i much rather put 2 layer of 75 in ,much easier than 150 you can get it tighter
I set up a circular saw with the dust extractor on it ,not so bad then

just had a sneaky peak in the hole as I couldn't hear any sounds of water emanating from it ....
ground water has all but exhausted itself --
tiniest trickle, which given some more dryness may well have disappeared soon :giggle::giggle:...

had been concerned that that second line might also have been subject to a.n.other pushfit, somewhere up stream giving the same issues ...
reasonable assumption as these two lines seem to have been laid in the same trench, side by side and would reasonably assume they'd reached the end of a roll/2 rolls, at that point, other wise WTF bang a joint in 20 ft from where it terminates in the kitchen floor ??o_O
very pleased to see it virtually dry :giggle::cool:

Season's Greetings Gra 🎄🥳
Some progress with yer hole then - I reckon that it's probably ground water from the leak draining away ;)
Anyway, I follow a guy called Matt on YouTube who is a plumber that traces leaks.
His videos are so funny and we can all learn from the techniques that he uses

Now I know that you like to kill time watching YouTube - so settle in for a few hours of entertainment :ROFLMAO:

Just watched the storage unit one. It was ok but he didn't really show how he located the leak. What his method was. Do the longer videos show this?

Yes go to some of his earlier videos. I think he has trimmed more recent ones down for tiktok and Facebook reels. He has a lot of equipment, carries a full scuba setup

the ground water was deffo from the land drain behind the wall above where it was coming from ...wasn't a dribble it was a proper constant flow, which has now all but ceased, as the ground has drained and dried out (land drain sumps/collector chambers have stopped flowing completely).

been a looong three days -- 10, 8, 6, 4, 3 & 1 ... and the big kids too ... behaviour has improved to degree (it needed to) but the house is utter carnage/like a war zone
160 door to door - 2hr 16 going (new record, especially for going), 2hr 22 coming back .... would've been better, but for a 3 mile camera-ed stretch of road works at 50mph ... clearest runs ever, no stop/starts, free flowing traffic all the way
not been over indicated 80 .. could deffo better it (on my own) :giggle:
looking forward to my own bed and a night's silence (y) (apart from Pam's usual snoring)
