yeh it's even more annoying when you're 'in the seat'Funny what you say about people pushing and shoving stuff when hanging. Obviously i shouldn't have stuff hanging off a digger but it happens
that pack of trusses was a hell of a lot more than 200kgsDon't think my exploits yesterday were quite as safe. Tight site and my mate couldn't get square on to where trusses had been dropped or the scaffold. I slung him up and guided him so halfway point was over the handrail. Only a baby load maybe 200kg. What do you think @V8Druid 1 out of 10?
double lift point gives you no ability to swivel them around , to thread them between obstacles .... but does make them stay put, in line/across your forks. These were about 5m span and 35 pitch I think. Didn't check pitch as no loose cutting to do. Ea one would of only weighed 25-30kg think there was 10no. so more like 300kg.
Yeh slings were a bit long weren't they. Thought I was doing to right thing slinging at 2 points but live and learn!
that'd've been a loader crane then (Hiab type thing) ... there aren't many mobiles that'd do thatYeh cranes much better put a few roofs on with em. The newer ones i've had operator up on scaffold with you helming position them with his remote control round his waist. You are right though they cost a fortune but suppose the machines are a big investment.
had a ridge beam built into it, to lift it with and spread the loads .... IIRC was built in front of each house and then just picked up and derricked out ... did it with a TMS300 Grove ... plenty of capacity ... it was one of the UK majors at the time, Wimpey I think ... was a long time ago ... timber frame houses and up the valleys, Bargoed way. That building on the floor looks wicked how would you sling and hold them all together. Surely with h&s that is the future suppose not every site has room to build at ground level
