so ... the Kendas ... Woke up the P38 this morning and managed to get the axle height sensors to behave - eventually and dragged the 10 x 5 out of its parking spot .... pumped the spendies up to full height and stuck a trolley jack under a back corner

stripped these two and realised that for some reason (and one I'd forgotten ) I had the rims off the 8 x 4 on here so built these two and swapped the one off the 8 x 4 ... then pulled the other two off t'other side and had to repeat the process after building them back up (after giving the 8 x 4's rims a coat of best shiny .. )
one more to go .... bust the bead on the spare - to find a tube hiding in there ... the spare was quite an old rim, I'd had from some where ... having stripped the tube out and then the tyre, I discovered the reason it had a tube ... big rust pustule turned into this when given the treatment

Oh bollaux ... so then had to hunt out a.n.other rim ..... and strip #14 .... and give that a coat of shiny too ......
eventually got it all done ... next Q is WTF am I gonna do with this lot ... and the other four ... not easily disposed of ...... could be a hell of a Guido Fawkes night this year

so .. all sorted and can happily troll off anywhere with my collection, worry free .... was concerned enough about a trip to town before ... they'd all gone downhill badly in the last six months, including the Ifor's !!

tidied up just in time for tea .... been a lovely day here - shirtsleeves all day ... had forgotten what that was like

then after tea ..... with the exception of one spot -- still waterlogged ... was time for ........................................ some grass massacring

50 minutes round this lot then five runs down the side of the drive with the Countax

followed by the Big boy

there's an all pervading smell of fresh mown grass here tonight

and for a comparator ... this is how the other half 'don't .... must be 15" high ... and that's supposed to be a sand school next to it ....
must give the nettles and brambles a good routing in that ditch next .. starting to look like next door's ... and that deffo won't do

a long, hot, sweaty day yesterday got the rest of the knackered fence line sorted .....
Lumag is brilliant at making holes in the ground ...
and I got fried ..
arms are always out in the sunlight but I have some seriously red arms this morning.

two sodding big, what were once strainers, side by side where this'd been joined, leaving two gert stumps/stump holes in the one spot, took a bit of working round, but eventually sorted - Pam's suggestion - put some rails between a pair of posts with a bigger - stile style rail set ...
worked out a treat, other than, although setting them with the level and checking them with a.n.other level, they looked totally pissed, for all sorts of directions. Hell of an optical illusion ...
if you're up at eye level with them on the drive they look fine, from the garden you'd say WTF fitted them?
I know they're level, Pam knows they are too - she looked at the bubbles, same as I did ... just looks weird

got a couple of slightly 'wonky' posts in the first section we did ..
but I am not wrestling them back out......
's a thousand percent better than what it replaced .....
it'll keep the damned sheep in the field in the winter ....
just got to run a strand of wire across the top and that'll do
left the top, newer section 'as was' ...
reasonably firm - hence the top rail on that ...
Pam's choice ..
she hated the top rail on the rest of it, but is happy to live with that section, 'til it needs anything doing to it

Just 1/3 of her right lung. And they want her left adrenal gland too. Big C for the former, large cyst on the latter (we hope).

Superwoman thought she'd be out of hospital in 3 days, sat in bed knitting the day after, and recovered in a few weeks. 9 days they kept her in post op and she is still permanently knackered and not getting her second op for a few weeks.

glorious day here today ... too hot this morning
massacred the grass - AGAIN ! - everywhere

except the bank on the right ... will stand another weeks growth
then set about re-locating our old Stove cooker to somewhere else ..
got me little trailer I made for the tipping skip, with the alternate tipping body attached and wheeled it down to the house ... CBA to make the little traccy 'perform' for just this ... trailer is the lowest thing to the ground I could think of to get 110Kilos of cooker into on me own, without resorting to dragging a machine down to lift it ...

managed to upend it enough to get Pam to wheel the little trailer under as far as we could get it, laid the cooker into the bed and then lifted and slid it forward ...
worked a treat .. sadly no pix - unusually I (a) forgot and (b) was a tad busy ..
dragged it back up the patch behind the P38 (could drop the spendies as low as poss. for the trailer which was built for a low tow ball) and wrestled said cooker out of the trailer into the poly tunnel onto a pallet trolley.

want to try and keep this dry, as now it is no longer covered by ins. and declared dead, I'll rip it apart, as I have a fair idea WTF is wrong with it, but couldn't risk an engineer turning up and saying it'd been messed with, if it ain't repairable .. that'd really have been a no no
it's still in great condition and seems such a waste to just bin it

was registering the new Stove, on line earlier and having gone through the whole process, I get a confirmation page stating the warranty period to be one year .. totally contrary to the spec.'s two years, which I downloaded, from their website, when I ordered it.
We will be having seeeerious words with customer care tomorrow
to add insult to injury, part of the reg. process takes you D&G's (Domestic & General's) site, to take out ADDITIONAL extra care cover for a brand new, (supposedly) warranted, product from day one

what's the point of publishing a spec. if it ain't right ..

they are supposed to be adjustable down to 900 Alex .. once off there is no way of adjusting height - unless you rob the front screw down feet and stick 'em in the back holes, leaving you with now't at the front ... basically the manufacture of the rollers is shite - they're too tall by 3.5mm
