we've taken to doing my 'hamster juice' on a Sunday evening, now we no longer have any commitments of an evening - leaves Mondays free-er ..
was well surprised that she was happy for me to go back out -- doubt it'd've been the same story if I'd been making summat for me, rather than doing the swings for the kids
And it's tree pollen season again .... nose and eyes dying all day, despite the usual daily 10mgs of cetirizine - surrounded by oaks - and nose has been dripping like a tap all day .... pi**ed off with blowing it - so frustrating when you're trying to get on

forgot to say earlier .... some of you may have spotted the Bosch 5" on the bench
I have absolutely no idea WTF it came from, or any recollections of how I came by it ...
certainly would not have bought it, for sure - someone must've donated it ???
I have got a 110v Bosh 4" which came with a box of discs many moons ago
hardly ever been used - not a Bosch lover and never had much luck with Bosch power tools ....
no guard with this and don't like using grinders without, but made life easier for a flap wheel to get the tubes cleaned off ...
acutely aware of the 'no guard' when using it and still managed to put a groove in my left forefinger's knuckle yesterday with the edge of the flap ..
hence the gloves on the bench today ...
don't like working in gloves, but did give a little more protection from/advance warning of, impending pain
oh and the tape on the Bosch's cord is now't to do with me ...
when they usually go in that spot, I always chop and replace the tail ...
asking for a bump doing that ...
but it is only 110v
TBF to it, as scabby as it is, it's performed well with the flap, on de-rusting duties
funnily enough, I've been considering how to improve the 'facilities' on this - it's got an extra swing mount set ...
Clara loves 'clambering' and I have a few climbing nets here ...
might see if I can't incorporate some sort of mount bar for the smallest net ...
whilst I have it on the patch, before it goes back together

well between the monsoon type rain downpours, I've been out to have a look at me posts, etc., on the bench ....... they all look like green snow leopards .. dry, but camouflage finish ... if it's as dry as the forecast says it's gonna be I'll have to bang another coat on 'em tomorrow Wednesday (kids tomorrow) ...... once I've stood it up .. can dry at its leisure then

carried all the 'smaller' bits down the lawn ... 's a long walk back and fore, multiple times ... then had the challenge of moving the cross bar .. could pick it up, but sure as hell wasn't gonna carry it far ... bit of lateral thought and .....
my gas bottle sack truck was an ideal bogie ... wheeled it down to where I needed it to be ....
and slotted the legs into one end to stop it wriggling about, to get the 'bogie' out from under it
and got the second set of legs attached ..... now to upright it ...... got a hold of it and couldn't get it off the deck ...
Pam's been out most of the day and I doubt even the two of us'd've gotten it air borne ... so .. yet more walking, back and fore for some gear
and got it up a couple of feet and propped, then worked my way up quietly
to the balance point, then attached a hold back line to stop it going over, too damned rapid
and it was upright ..... in retrospect, I should've only put one leg each end and used the gin pole as a shear leg to get the cross beam in the air and slotted the other two legs on once it was up ... would've been a lot less effort (and less risky)
but it's up and in situ ...

....Clara wanted to be on it at 08.30, 'fore I took her to school, but as she'd only eaten half her brekky, had teeth to brush and get ready to go, we negotiated a full sesh after school
will hopefully be a little less white/soggy under foot and a lot warmer
time to give that fence a coat of rich oak ducks back too

been a nice morning here (aside from the light overcast from all the vapour trails first thing - (see poxy weather thread ) and had to get up in the roof of the black shed to get some of Clara/Harper's outside toys down off the high level shelves in the eaves .... dragging their little pink car down, caught it on summat else, lost me balance and had to step back down off the steps from 4 rungs up ... landed successfully without stepping on anything behind me (mowers, etc.) and thought phew - got away with that lightly .... went to climb back up for the next item and thought these steps feel funny ..... on inspection .......
got off real light, considering the pressure i must've put on them as I stepped down 3+ft ..... new ones required i think... a repair might take some executing ... damned annoying - only just repatriated 'em from Vicki's after several months of wondering WTF they were every time I wanted to use 'em

had a look at them as I was tidying up after the kids left ten minutes ago and they're Clima - a decent enough brand for domestic use ... from memory they came from McArthurs in BristolDeath trap .get some proper ones.
