do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
Two week out of the latest variant of Covid and I'm still not right, myself and the boss really suffered with it, the young lad all he had was a runny nose.............................................................................................................. only thing that helped was 1000mg lemsips with ibuprofen in between............................................
cheers Stock -- got at least another two weeks of this sh1t to look forward to then  was doing the Lemsips, but having read what was in them, just went back to paracetamol and i take 10mgs of Cetirizine daily any way .. coffee provided plenty of caffeine.
if it is - and seems like it is covid ... 's my fourth lot... first three were a good month recovering from ... this un looks like it's sizing up the same sort of duration ... annoying part is I've already had it this year, back in June  so any antibodies/immunity seems pretty ****ing useless to the variants🤬🤬
hope you get better soon Boyo

Thank **** the boss hasn't succumbed to it

I really don't want to jinx myself BUT, so far in my household, the wife has had it 3 times ( last bout was 2 weeks ago) and the kids have had it twice last year and the year before. Me, not had it once! Anyone want a blood sample £5k a pop lol.

three weeks since this bug kicked off and juuuust starting to feel like I can 'see the light' ... cough is subsiding, head is still 'iffy' and still feel wiped out
reckon I've lost about a stone and still have very little appetite.

burst a blood vessel in my left eye Friday evening, coughing my heart out o_O🤬 ... pic was last night .. Pam said it was looking a lot better :censored:  ..
lost my voice completely Thursday - just a squeak of a thing ... odd thing is the throat isn't even vaguely sore ... :unsure:o_O

Had @Mogman on the blower yesterday morning ... he couldn't hear me - thought there was a phone issue, 'til he eventually understood what I was trying to say
wanted to know if I was up for a meet in a layby somewhere with all of Rory's 'spoils', in a trailer, Wednesday, for a trans-ship .... he's got his big trailer on and can't get anywhere near me - Apparently he's heading Rory's way with yet more 'spoils' to deliver, en route, to a.n.other pick up, down that way.
Timing couldn't be worse :(
(a) I'm like a wet rag in a hurricane
(b) P38's parked up with axle height sensor issues (still)
(c) The Kia'd have a fit (or fail to get up our driveway), with a full load of 8ft monster forks, fork carriage, four axles, a winch, a GERT magnet and a hose reel, in a trailer, capable of carrying said list
(d) it's kids day tomorrow, so little time to load said list and it's been soggy wet here most of today -- plus see (a)

I'll give him a bell later and see what sort of time he'd be likely to be in this neck of the woods, Wednesday ?
Knowing Mog it'll be silly-o'clock :(

had to drag my sorry arse into action these last couple of days .... exchange and completion looms on Vicki's new hutch shortly and time to start getting funds where I want them, instead of spread about in various places ... and what a bloody task that has proven to be. Some of the online a/c.s are pretty good ... some are ****in' useless .. spent a couple of hours Monday 'visiting' a few establishments trying to get things organised/sorted ... and had to go back this morning to finish some of it off ...
all before the Mog arrived on the 465 down the road from me to collect Rory's sh1t 'spoils' :giggle:
Really not up to all this, this week, but had to be done ..... am now bollo-ed
heard from Mog this morning, just as I got back ... gonna be with me (in 'our' layby) by three thirty .. and I still had to get it all persuaded into a trailer
wound up the 'Drema and dragged some slings out ...

WP_20231004_14_42_31_Pro.jpg

and pulled the first bits out after getting a trailer hitched up and out the way ..
WP_20231004_14_44_25_Pro.jpg
then juggled this lot in first
WP_20231004_14_48_23_Pro.jpg

forks were an absolute bitch to get slung and juggled in beside this lot ... too long to sit in the bed and me 10ft trailer is full of tower scaffold still ... got to make a big pallet/stillage to sit that lot on to store it. getting fed up with the 10 x 5 being unusable
anyway Mog's on the phone, at half three, just as I got the second fork in spot and was about to tie it all down... so got it secured (sadly no pix of the spiderweb :( - now pushed for time) and shot off down to meet the man ... Kia dragged it all up the drive very well, fair play ... but it was getting some gun up the really steep bits.
Charging down the 465 to where I was expecting him to be ... passed a curtain sider in a layby and as I did, he's tucked in, in front of the damned thing, one layby early  ... managed to scotch up, get into the tail of the layby and back back alongside him ....
WP_20231004_15_58_37_Pro.jpg

he's out and getttin' set up whilst I'm un-roping and we soon had it all in the dumper skip ...

as Paul said, if pushing 100 yrs of slinging/rigging experience couldn't get it all in there and pretty damned secure ..... there was no hope !! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
WP_20231004_16_17_49_Pro.jpg

all on and sorted by 4:15 - de-rigged and I'm waving him off, Devon bound, hoping for a seven o'clock arrival at Rory's drop off point.
WP_20231004_16_19_10_Pro.jpg

came home and tidied up, from where I'd just dropped everything ... juggled a few bits with the 'Drema whilst it was out and parked her up .. dropped the Ifor back in its spot and just checking the tyre pressures on the Kia (been telling me for days it had two soft tyres - utter bollox - all bang on 31 PSI ) and Rory's on the dog for a 'report' .... " Paul reckons he'll be with you by seven - make sure you have some air with you as the FNS is well soft " - planning on driving it from where Mog could get to, for him, so should all be sorted by now and Rory'll be slobbering over his new pile of bits, pieces and new dumper ... which looked very tidy.
Nice to see Paul again, even if it was a very brief and busy half hour, trans-shipping it all :giggle:(y)

shhh! .. was gonna surprise Rory with the invoice :ROFLMAO:
Just wait till I send you the one for today's occupational therapy session.

All arrived safe, no pix as was in a rush to get Paul offloaded and road up the lane to a yard, in hindsight Paul could of spun round in the yard but it's not somewhere I frequent often and I don't trust others with where you can turn a unit.

f****ng fire wombles had closed the bridge because of a coach....... Wankers so I think Paul had to loop down to the next junction.

All unloaded with a counterbalance and a single drop chain into the I for wills. 🤣 Dumper is going direct to a joint on Friday.
