Then dragged the mrs round france on the back of really uncomfortable sports bikes ....pretending to be Kevin Schwantz on his 500 Pepsi with pillion

She must of been keen.

S&W air shocks made a huge difference to the way that it rode ... had 3 glorious weeks exploring the entire length of the French Med coast and a lot of the alps

been feeling totally sh1t since last Friday .... today feel like I've been whacked between the shoulder blades with a sledge and my taste is deffo 'off' ..... so resorted to this tonight .....

can usually shake most things off in a couple of days, but this is now 'officially' pissing me off ...
do anything and I am bollo-ed ...
did a couple of hours strimming round the edges yesterday and was wrecked for the rest of the day

that would've been day 5/6 of feeling shite ... trouble is I have a few other issues that give me grief and need 'subduing' ... but not having gotten on top of/shaken it, I started thinking about other causes ... might try a.n.other testy thingy tomorrow

seem to have shaken whatever it was 100% more like it ......... apart from the ****ing pollen

no milk in the local garage shop yesterday so had to slide into town
did a mini hit whilst I had to be there and headed home.
dash range predicter (which is normally pretty accurate) said I was good for 600 miles, leaving Morrisons in Aber. By the time I'd done the 2-ish miles to the limits, AT 20MPH !! .. was down to 565 ... second gear ... won't pull 3rd under 25+
real economy that !! God knows what it'd be down to if one spent an hour trying to navigate the town at 20MPH .... and you've all got it to come

Proves that yer immune system is still working OK
Have similar experiences with the dash range on the Navara.
Often when topped up after NOT towing something it shows 600 odd miles.
When it’s say 586 get excited as a drive away sensibly and it works it out to 600
The economy of this now nearly 4 year old pickup is absolutely superb

Managed to do Gloucester, Liverpool, Carlisle and back to Gloucester on one tank in the RRS with 120 miles still showing on the range after steady motorway driving. 2 miles to school and back had the range down to 80 and the fuel light on.
Still happy to have done that as normally I need to top up 30miles from home in the motorway robbers after stop start roadworks on M5/M6.
Good to here the tish slapper is feeling better!!

Yep it's steady driving that gives the best economy
If I'm not in a rush, I limit my solo driving to about 60mph.
And if towing to about 50-55mph - but there again I'm getting older

Solo on a run 45-47 mpg
Solo local mixed about 35-40 mpg
Towing up to 3500kg about 26-28 mpg
Towing caravan sensibly about 28-30 mpg
Really impressed with my 7 speed auto NP300
Plenty of power and effortless towing

My partner Christine is still in Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit having been taken there over 2 weeks ago when she got an infection while undergoing a stem cell transplant to defeat her Lymphoma. The treatment process is to wipe out your immune system and build it back from scratch. Getting Septicaemia after 6 solid days of chemotherapy prior to the transplant is not desirable but is one of the risks.

The transplant appears to be successful as the white cells are on the increase from a very low base. However her survival to this point has required a chest drain, nasal feeding tube, lots of intravenous fluids including blood, platelets, broad spectrum antibiotics, anti fungals, antivirals, morphine every 4 hours and high flow oxygen. She is too weak to move by herself and talking a few minutes on the phone leaves her completely exhausted. It doesn't get much tougher

Gees that's some pretty expressive figures, certainly worth a look at one for anyone thinking of a change.
Been thinking about changing the touareg lately, it was bought basically as a tow vehicle and doubles up nicely as a second car and work vehicle.... even thought about changing it for a little electric van, looked at a few Renaults on ebay but both claim 60 miles on a charge I can do more than that before I get to the yard some mornings

Hope she's over it speedily Dave, dads been fighting myloma for the last 5 years ,amazing what they can do these days but it's tough to say the least

Petition: Hold a public poll on the reduction of the default speed limit BEFORE it comes in to force

I think that the Welsh Government must hold a public poll on this change as it will affect everyone! There is no proven evidence that it will save lives or reduce pollution. There is evidence to support it increasing the amount of emissions being put into the air as cars are not designed to be...
