Quality system that, watched a Milwaukee fanboy using his, isn't it the only system you can use on certain jobs now?
I’ve done some stainless pressfit work at Chatsworth House which is a local estate. No hot works allowed.

so .. am I missing yet another system? - "push fit" .. maybe like Hep2o for copper?I was going to drop the push fit bomb![]()
Push fit is for copper as well. Polyplumb is my least disliked brand .so .. am I missing yet another system? - "push fit" .. maybe like Hep2o for copper?
Some where I actually have some of those pressfit tools, acquired a long time ago and IIRC up to 3.5" or 4" ... must have a look see where I've stashed them?..... don't think I'd've gotten them in behind the bath though

so is it just a push on fit or does that have to be crimped too??Push fit is for copper as well. Polyplumb is my least disliked brand .
We have about 7 press tools. Oldest ones are over 10 years old. It’s quicker and safer and more reliable than solder joints. Less flux and mess in the pipes so less flushing required . Been around for a long time in commercial. We were early uptake on domestic in 2009. Most lads have them now.

Push fit can be plastic or metal fittings for plastic or metal pipe and relies on a SS grab ring and O-Ring. Pressfit is for metal or composite pipework and relies on an O ring that is Compressed onto the pipe with a pressing tool (kinda like a hydraulic crimping tool)so is it just a push on fit or does that have to be crimped too??
if we use any its hep ,it seems to grip on well, but pipe still must be clean and cut prefferbly with pipe cutter ,no ragged edgeHep2o or Speedfit are two of the popular brands. Literally just pushes onto copper or plastic pipework.
yeh I understand the pressfit and how it works now that I know what it isPush fit can be plastic or metal fittings for plastic or metal pipe and relies on a SS grab ring and O-Ring. will have to pick up a few fittings for the odd emergency applicationAlways handy the hep and John guest

the crimps I have somewhere came from the pharmaceutical place I cleared out years ago ... some of their plumbing was 6" with crimped joints ... trying to remember the name of the tools IIRC they're green and have interchangeable jaws something like these from memory ........ name just came to me - Rothenberger ... damned if I can remember where I put them though ... must be there somewhere? They’ve done some 4” stainless and copper pipe work with the clamps at ferodo impressive stuff.

That’s what I mean . How often do manufacturers of plant frustratingly repeat bad design in new models because they never consulted properly the users of the older models .LOL ... would be some product survey that
As for a Druidfab VA-r ... it'd be interesting re-visiting a lot of it .........
I've recently found a rotary actuator for sale, at a not too excessive cost and am considering acquiring it for a new top half for it - NOX style
a run through'd highlight possible improvements too![]()
