guess who came for early tea ?
bearing goodies .... first things first ... cuppa .. then unload
hour later thought we'd better get it off

Paul kindly donated a few bits o' bar to the Druid stock pile and then we got lil' jake wound up, save him stretching out that gert Hiab for a couple of little bits for 6 toes
the winch was a POP .. Paul picked the reel down and then attached
the lump .... having gotten hold of most of it I said "
how heavy is that Paul .. don't wanna end up on me nose, lying down here ? " ... ... blade down and was fine ..
just ... having looked at the plate after Paul'd gone, can see why the blade was required at full stretch/height to get it off the back end of his truck
bloody heavy for the little un'.
bit more of a natter and he was away, headed for Llantrisant, for the morning .....
he'd trimmed a few trees on his way down the drive and had to stop to shift a few lumps out the way, on his way out
and then he was gone ......
brought me a lump of tree on arrival, which got resized for the bin
and I'll go take a look in the morning, see what else is laying about

tidied up Rory's treasures and bagged the pipes on the reel ... keep the wasser out and turned the winch motor's ports downwards too
been a tad damp here on/off, most of the day, but pleasantly warm, even with the S Easterly blowing well, 's been a warm breeze ... unlike yesterday's sharp one.
As it was dry I dug out some new return line for the Deutz and persuaded that into spot, for connecting up
and finished just as it came down again ....
Pam'd been pressure washing end of last week and the lance handle'd split, so I'd had a scrat about for all the various ones and bits I had ...
ended up putting my big one on, off my diesel unit to get her going again and in the process of searching out bits, discovered one'd succumbed to either age, misfortune or both ... 'twere bollo-ed anyway - in two pieces ...
so as they were still sat in me tool box and it was still wet, had a look at sorting it
not the greatest of design and it'd died at the weakest point ... piece of 1/2" steel tube, threaded to 1/4"BSP had snapped in the valve ... filed it down to a square end and put a 10mm drill into it to get a clean centre, 'fore going for a 10.7 tapping size ...
followed by one of our old friends
... worth a try and damned if it didn't behave

don't get luck like that very often ... especially with thread paste/cement on it .... but then there wasn't a lot left to put up a fight.

cut the heat shield back on the handle an inch or so, ran a new 1/4" BSP thread down the end of its core and went together sweet as
good as new .... well close ....
God knows where the tap handle's gone ... probably lurking in a box corner somewhere or under summat? only going to be used cold so I'll bang a std ally one on it ... bound to have one in me
tap stock Lin Bin
and suddenly 'twere half six and I was starving ... trouble with no tea bell ... lose track of time
