One of a few jobs going on at the minute, demolishing two massive bases for what were supposed to be 2 huge water tanks out in the desert that were scrapped. Tight deadline but as easy and straightforward a job as we will ever have just break it out and clean out then push sand back in with a blade 👍
They look huge 😲 ..what's tale with scrapping them?

Not too sure really, they have been sat there for years, probably scrapped when everything imploded in 08, the reason they want it gone and fast now is the land has been sold and new developer wants to launch new development quick which is mad because the plot is a good mile on dirt track from the nearest road 🤣

Is that natural ground water or your dust control water sitting on the ground?

That's groundwater Giles, you can see in some of the pictures we've backfilled a layer across the site as we've removed the concrete to allow the trucks to run on the site. It's a lot of fine sand so we have to spray water on the filled layer also or the trucks would be constantly getting stuck

Giles raises a good point though- can't be good for you working in the arid dusty climate?!

Currently demolishing part of a car park of the biggest shopping mall in the world so they can extend it even further 🤯 absolute nightmare of a job, made twice as hard by clients and main contractors... will be glad to get on a plane next week to come home for Christmas

The new pulveriser doesn't look too new anymore 🤣 Going good now had a lot of teething problems getting machine to rub it properly but sorted now and going good, basic gulf spec machines have their downsides too, no adblue or dpfs but lower spec pumps mean running anything other than a hammer is a pain to get right. Job is going well, a logistical nightmare but we're making progress
