Have I missed something? 🤷‍♂️🙈 or not read a post right?
There is a man Uuuup Norf (in the North of this island).

Quite rightly the man is revered, he does nice work. Knows his subject and does some very nice LGP conversions.

Unfortunately said man I would say has suffered from too much smoke being blown up his arse and a ridiculous amount of demand due to it, which like many firms has caused a reduction in the quality of the exceptional service that caused the smoke blowing in the first place.

I don't know what's occurred between him and Engcon. But I Expect it takes two to tango..... Can't knock the mans skillset IMHO.

Regarding salesmen in general.... they often don't know the real difference between a microwave and a 100t digger.... the sale is all they give a f**k about.

Now I understand. Thought it was an Engcon issue or another said dealer/installer. 👌

Surely Engcon helped though when contacted directly?

Tbh svab for me is just what I was sold(I don’t actually need it), I have never altered any of the settings just turn it on and use it .
.
I’d be fully open to trying the Engcon control system - I’m not one for mucking around with all the settings and making custom attachments etc.

Will be going steelwrist or roto on the next one, engcon never come back to you when you call them. I always give suppliers a couple chances but they get binned after that.

I’d say the same about steelwrist, I chased and chased them, not interested in talking details!

rototilt did get back to me with a price pretty rapid in fairness.

Seems John wont do warranty work on his install?! Angus will prob be getting a call as remote support isn’t dialling in the system enough to function smoothly , again this will be at my cost.

I currently have a roto tilt pulse feature through free on my engcon unit....😂😂😂

Is he on here? spoke to him way back at the start of this carry on for advice but had been hoping engcon would see this saga to end......

Out of interest what is the problem? Happy to offer advise if I can.

PS. Not a Rototilt man trying to get one up or anything 😬
Happy for any advice from any side 😀

1. The tilt function intermittently vibrates/pulses that bad you would genuinely think it had the pulse feature.

2. When you use tilt/rotate at the same time tilt acts like it’s getting to much oil making it go like f**k in both directions.

3. Unit was set up remotely so needs dialled in on the field to smooth it out, perhaps then these issues would be resolved ?🤷‍♂️

So it wasn't set up when installed?

Ok, sounds like it is not set up right at all (obviously o_O )

First things I'd check starting out fresh on this one would be the simple things, such as is it plumbed up correctly? Is Pressure and return going to the correct ports, I'm pretty sure the Volvo is feed differently to most machines, I.E looking out the cab the left hand side of the dipper has return rather than feed!
Most tiltys have built in check vales meaning that they can't be feed from the wrong side, but some smaller ones don't... and can cause them to operate but cause strange problems....no idea about yours.

Next thing would be pressure and flow? the flow on most smaller machines is fixed, (can't be selected like larger machines) so you could presume this to be right. So i'd like to know the pressure is set to the engcons spec!

The vibration in your tilt could be caused by low pressure, having just enough to open the check valve but then it drops slightly and the vibration could be from the check valve opening and closing rapidly. if this makes sense.

And it could just be a case of needing fine tuned! I have talked a few people through calibrations over the phone ( Rototilt ICS doesn't have remote access, something i have asked for!) But there is No comparison to sitting in the cab and seeing how the machine reacts to each adjustment.

If I'm correct you said that yours has been changed from SVAB to DC2, was the feeder valve changed also? shouldn't really be any different, but if it was it would cause problems also.

So like I say, starting off I'd be double checking flow and return and pressure first off. Hope its been some help, don't be afraid to ask any questions if I can be of any help.... although I know nothing about this control system il be happy to help.

Also keen to hear what it was when you do get it sorted.
