Another restricted access job. Patio base and cabling trench once I got into the garden. The gap got narrower as it went along and at one point the arse was touching the brickwork one side and the gas meter box the other. I just kept thinking it wouldn’t be the best place for a burst drive hose.

Any suggestions for the best place to get a cheap mechanical hitch? Not one of these silly semi-quick hitches where you still have to put the second pin in. Even a part-worn old one. Digbits price is a bit eye-watering.

Don't bother with a spring quick hitch. The semi quick hitch are quicker to use and have less slop. Or a wedge type does it properly. Spring hitches come out the factory worn out.

I think you have been spending to much time around D8s etc judging by that blade extension 😄
If you want to change over to S Type I can do you a nice little S30

Yep try Harford Attachments for yer quick hitch 👍🏻
Bought a Pro-Lok from them in 2019 - superb wedge type hitch. Means that I change buckets dozens of times on each job 😎

Clay-Next-The-Sea, Norfolk. These beauties have been parked up on the beach for as long as I can remember.

Last one is for Rory (might be a bit too modern). my Kubota has probably pushed more in recent years.

considering their location, they're in remarkable condition .... must've been pretty new when they arrived there?

No Bob, it was a Cat development machine. Phelan’s was a C, this was a proto K. C’s had a single carrier roller.

Can you remember the name of the chap who drove Phelan’s machine about the time they did the A14, A47 and Norwich Southern bypasses?
