So the reasons/beliefs/wishes of someone not wearing a mask are not worthy of respect?
I don't think I'm not wearing a mask because "I don't want to" is really good enough given the circumstances. I'm not saying i agree with it but i don't see it as such a big deal that everyone can't do it. I'm not vulnerable or anyone close to me re covid so it really doesn't bother that way, but we are never gonna see the end of it unless we all change small things about everyday life. You could argue that certain places could decide whether or not to let people in with/without masks that would be fine but i think essential places like food shops and petrol stations in no big deal to have to wear one.

Nobody is f****ng vulnerable any more- they've been vaccinated. Enough with the 'we're all in it together, we'll never see the end unless we change small things about our way of life' We'll never see the end of it all the time lying, cheating duplicitous ***** like Ferguson are in charge.

In the contrary @GazCro complying with all these silly rules is what is perpetuating the situation. Did you see anyone wearing masks or only drinking sitting down at g7 bbq last week?!

The whole population needs to educate themselves, masks have minimal maybe even negative impact when worn by an average Joe. They don't stop c19 particles and result in people touching there face more which actually increases risk. The fact the government admitted this in March 2020 then trolled everyone by mandating them later is a joke.

The sooner everyone wakes up to what a joke this is and stops complying it ends. It's only public opinion which shifted the govt off here immunity. Take the vaccine if you think you need it fair play, I think I'll be fine without and would be happy to sign an nhs waiver for treatment.

“I don’t want to” was a valid reason, as set out on the government website Covid guidelines.

There will never be an end to it full stop. The amount of movement of people between countries around the world will mean there will be small flare ups and mutations of the virus for a long time to come. The best outcome there will likely be will be a yearly covid jab for those who want it or are old enough to qualify much like the flu jab we already have.

Right can someone explain to me quite when 80% of this country's brains up'd and slithered out of there ear. I've kept my gob shut up to now in public as I really believe it's a personal choice what you should have/do..... But I'm now getting f***ed off with peoples attitudes towards saying Nae.

I'm not Anti Vax. Quite the opposite..... But I work on weighing risk vs gain...... the risk of me getting Covid is marginal to begin with, namely as I tend not to associate with too many people. If I got it the risk of me dying is supposedly the same as the risk of me having a fatal car accident within 7500 miles (I do that annually) so bottom line is it's rather Low...... theoretically if the tools availible to doctors online are correct and I got Covid tommorow this is my chance of death....

Now the thing that gets me is this..... Not f****ng around with it is my choice, no one else's.

But we are busy having this new happy game called protect others..... it's a slippery slope because it seems to bring on these splurges of panic induced senslessness.

"You need to get it to protect other vulnerable people" - If the Vaccine works then they should be grand anyway..... if it doesn't then why are we bothering?
"You need to get it to stop the spread" - It's been repeatedly said that the Vaccine isn't proven to stop it being contagious, so why are we assuming it is.
"It's completely safe" - Clearly f****ng not.... Personally anything that is likely to make me feel like s**t is a negative, even if it's just for a few days, it sounds to me like feeling s**t is almost a promise from this jib jab..... Feeling s**t is to be avoided.
"What are you afraid of" - f**k All..... that's why I've been out working since day 1 of this s**t trying to keep the world going.

Bear in mind Porton Down researched for a cure to the common cold for the best part of 40 years..... I'm dubious to quite how well thought out a Vaccine developed in 12 months or less is. I'm a strong believer in science, but I also am a strong believer in the power of money and the need to profit out of what is a vast financial black hole in the R&D for all companies involved. It's a gold rush..... You only have to look at Teflon or Thalidomide.... the latter being the cause of the testing regimes that have arguable not been completed start to finish.... - "One key change was that drugs intended for human use could no longer be approved purely on the basis of animal testing. And drug trials for substances marketed to pregnant women also had to provide evidence that they were safe for use in pregnancy."

I'm not a fan of conspiracies or similar.... BUT I am a believer in money being a serious motive to ignore problems..... I'd rather not participate.

To cap the entire discussion off we seem to have more coof coof locally than ever before...... I quite rightly blame holibobbers.

I absolutely agree Rory. What I put in my body should be my choice not the governments and I certainly won’t be guilt tripped into it either, in the fact the more pressure applied to take it the more obstinate I become against it. The idea that the unvaccinated (the great unwashed!) are preventing the freedom of others and allowing the virus to mutate is just the sort of rhetoric the military used to break down recruits to make them do what they are told, or primary school tactics “if you don’t do this, everyone else will suffer”.
They’re already on about 3rd vaccine boosts for over 70s in autumn- clearly after all this it turns out this is going to be just like the flu.Adjusted vaccine needed every year and IMO should be given to high risk groups or anyone else to wants it. It either bloody works or it doesn’t!

It makes me laugh “protect the elderly” they say. Well a few months back when it was just the elderly had been vaccinated the pubs opened outdoors- I was working next to one and the pub was literally rammed with pensioners. They obviously didnt give a jot about spreading it once they were “safe”.

Yes. Let's party. Where is the risk now? Anyone vulnerable is already vaccinated. Everyone else is at bugger all risk from it even if not vaccinated.

To my mind we should of opened up as soon as all the over 50's that wanted it had been prodded..... But it should of been a regional opening. Maximum Travelling radius of 70 miles from your home address unless your working away, If working away you stay away in a hotel..... no If's or Buts, 70 miles.... plenty for anyone and realistically over a hours commute even on the motorway network.

Such action would of sorted the biggest issue which is it spreading...... Theoretically a hotspot couldn't of gone further than 140 odd miles if you where travelling 70 miles to a job and coughing over your mate daily.

Easy to check too.... Driving license... or for the minority in a Hotel Ze Premier in give you a Contact Card.

This would of meant easing restrictions would be no bother in the places without issue..... No masks or bollocks.... fkn bliss.

But to do such a thing would mean no f****ng off to Cornwall on holibobs for rich people..... as as much as I'm not a Socialist or Communist the bottom line is that there is one group of people who have done whatever the f**k they wanted over the past two years..... and that is blatantly the wealthy!

Right I’m not gonna get in an argument about masks, jabs or even how s**t jcb’s are.
I will however talk about other risks and my own experience.

I had my first jab a month ago on a Saturday, came into contact with someone who had COVID on the Sunday and contracted it. Didn’t know it was COVID at the time but on the Wednesday started feeling a bit tired and achy, carried on as normal as it wasn’t that bad. Found out the following Saturday that the person I’d been in contact had COVID so got tested, sure enough I’m positive so have to isolate. Not ideal but you have to do your bit don’t you. My symptoms were basically just fatigue until the thursday, when basically I lost my marbles, completely delirious, didn’t know who I was, my misses was or anything.
The misses called an ambulance and went off to hospital, I’ve basically lost 3 days, spent in icu with encephalitis (swelling of the brain) and then a further fortnight locked in the room on the COVID ward. Got out yesterday with seemingly no lasting damage. But talking to the consultant things like this although rare at the minute are seemingly becoming more prevalent with these newer mutated strains of the virus.

I’m not gonna preach to anyone about what they should do, it’s not my way, I will however say obviously the mrs had to isolate with me who’s had both jabs, did she get COVID? No. Am I having my second vaccine? Damn right I am, after being on that ward and talking to all them girls on there (who are far braver than any of us and without whom I probably wouldn’t be here) this s**t ain’t anywhere near over with.

glad to hear you're 'recovering' and hopefully over the worst Ste .. sounds pretty alarming .... especially the encephalitis  ....

I had something with virtually identical symptoms to that maybe 30 years ago ... was put down to some sort of flu virus then too  ...... delirious for 4 or 5 days and can clearly remember thinking to myself at the time, in the odd moment of lucidity - " I am losing my mind " .... totally wiped out for nigh on two weeks ...... they had no idea WTF it was then and have never had a clue since, but it was pretty alarming . My mother ended up in hospital on O2 for a week plus.
whatever I went down with in Jan '20, like so very many other people have mentioned, was i'm sure some form of the sh1t that hit us later on in '20 .... seriously rough for several days and took a couple of weeks to get over ...
As Ste says .... "this s**t ain’t anywhere near over with." ... and as long as it keeps changing, t'ain't gonna be .. for a very long time
