do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
my enduring memories of Belgium travelling through it off the ferry at Oostend, as a young teenager, was the over powering stench of cow p*ss that they sprayed on the fields everywhere :(:(
have avoided the country ever since

Sounds/smells like home then - North Devon is in the top 3 highest concentration of dairy cows in country I believe.

Bratislava is quite nice . The wife's family are in the west but I find the north east the nicest countryside and nicer people we are at a place called zdiar about 3km from Polish border.
We spend alot of time in that region because of the tatra mountains

Vienna is lovely ...
Done a fair bit of Hungary ..
was a very poor country when I was there in '90 but some very nice bits -
Budapest was nice ..
the Pooshta (?) was interesting but extremely flat - went out horse riding there  ..
lake Balaton was lovely too ...
the government had recently quadrupled the price of fuel (removed subsidies) and very few garages had fuel, so had to fill up when you found it, even if it was only a gallon (Kawi only had a 3-ish gallon tank that'd cover about 120-130 miles :() Bet it's a very different place now.
Went to Hungary to meet up with my best mate, who was visiting family there, so had a translator some of the time ...
my Hungarian is pretty limited - some unrepeatable

If Auschwitz is anything like Dachau Dyl, it's an eerie quiet place, with what can best be described as a 'presence' ... gives me goose bumps/back of the neck bristle, thinking about the brief time I spent there ..
the huge rallying arena in Nuremberg has a similar feel to it ... built on a lake apparently, drained and filled in by hand by prisoners - it's vast and similarly eerie

3 of us went, when we came out nobody really spoke for nearly an hour afterwards
I watched a program on YouTube about a factory building rockets, ammunition or something like that built into a mountain side. Would this be the 1 your talking about.
They had a mass hanging 50+ on the overhead gantry crane. To keep morral up every now and then 😱

The V2 factory at Mittelbau-Dora was certainly in a tunnel system driven into the side of a hill.
The tunnels were still sealed off (from being blasted at the end of the war) when I was there, but apparently have now been opened for access.

yep - same.
