Will do you well. The 2020 plating thing as you say makes no odds...... I know people who get desperately hung up on the fact of it, but unless your running on tight margins and chopping at 3-5 years it makes bugger all issue.

I know of a Case that sat for 2 years in the last recession and was then replated....
Yes mine is plated 10 but has another plate next to it that says sold by warrick ward new in 2012

Dealers did that to try and bluff you

It’s such a con the only thing to consider in any way is the YOM. Anything else on the plate is not worth a thing

Not me they were trying to bluff it was a auction buy yes I realise it doesn't count for much and it's not the best for a motor for it to sit unused for 2 years

you mean the only thing it leaves the factory with is a chassis no stamped into it??? the plates are a dealer add on???

Exactly.

The Year of manufacture is designated by the manufacture. You cannot change it. Its fraud. The certificate of conformity will show so as will as the systems etc at the manufacture.
Dealers try and blag it by adding things like the above plant and claim "its was sold new in 2018" (example)

Any dealers changing plates are being very naughty and I would never deal with them.

All finance companys care about is the YOM (on the invoice) not it was new in 2014 etc. A 2012 plate sold in 2014 is then a used 2012 plate once its dug a hole.

you will have dealers getting plates made........... a bit like people who steal machine replating them with legit s/n's they found online.... Example, JCB will only supply a plate once you prove the asset is yours, and photo id etc. They then make the plate exactly how it left the factory, not with a year changed. You cant just buy blank plates. They are made at a printers and fraud takes place

The plating doesn’t bother me at all, I intend to keep the machine for many years and the likelihood is that it will only cover around 250hrs per year, so should stay in good condition.
I’m just glad to have made a saving and no longer have to hire micros 👍

looks like a dealers stock yard :p:LOL::ROFLMAO: .... very nice @Neilporteous ..... hope they both treat you well for many years (y)
It does while they are new and shiny, hopefully they stay scratch free for a while yet 😂, have a small scuff in the underside of the counterweight on the 219 which really frustrates me, it was me that done it, have to remember they are working bits of kit tho lol.

So a mate has ordered a new tb210 coming soon, he has a 300 hour used one on loan while they sort his out.

£14500 for new one with hitch and 3 buckets or £13500 for the 300+ hour one looking a bit tatty Rd the working end.

why is anyone buying used currently!

Because they either can't wait or don't even ask about new. A lot look at second hand price and think new price must be a lot more so don't even ask.
I know a lad who ordered one about 2 week ago, hopefully due April (dunno if dealer already had one ordered for stock). I guess you could get a lot of work done with one between now and April 🤷‍♂️

People are buying used because new is sparse but it’s fair to say it’s got a bit quieter . Kits still selling it’s just different. The last year has been . I’d love to add us the machine we sell a month . In feb we have done about 12 between us and L
