From my experience uk power networks will not install cable if duct or hockey stick is within the cavity. Must be surface mounted

yes they will do it. Much tidier job, obviously on some builds it doesn't matter but higher end stuff its all in the finish.

We put them inside the building , I hate with a passion electric/gas meter boxes outside! Not sure I have ever seen it on paper than it’s ok to go up the cavity.. As you cannot identify that it’s there.

thought it had been a requirement, for a long time, that the meters were accessible from outside the building, to the utility providers for reading/access ????

nah , they just break in If you don’t Provide access!All new meters are smart meters these days, my unit has a commercial wireless meter in it, bloke who installed it said if you don’t get mobile signal they refuse you a commercial meter! Oh and won’t fit a standard old skoll type either!!

I know ..doubt we'll come up much this summer...apart at quieter times and to our out of the way spots. Looking at Bournemouth etc it's bonkers . Just glad we live up north...

'cept plod were noticeable by their absence .... should've blocked the roads off to it, PNC-ed all the number plates and anything more than 5 miles from registered address should've been seized .. for the duration ....... stop the stupid fkrs joyriding about

I can guarantee if we tried to get our deserted Anglesey beach we'd have Welsh plod on our back the minute we hit the A55..

exactly ..... they had them all contained in an easily isolated location ... Nick anyone they can, who was involved ... £1000 fine for anyone from over 5 miles away and impound any vehicle that did not have a registered address within 5 miles ..... would stop 'em going any where, 'til they saw fit to let them have / sold the vehicles back to them ... if everYeah I noticed that....thought Welsh were still at the 5 mile rule?
