and flipping the rear most diff to get rotation right ...... 's a cool solutionhttps://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/17542806...fYP82DLStC&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
This bloke is doing it with just the nose out another axle bolted in the back and alternating which side the pinion fits
But that would be like driving in reverse all the time on the rear diffand flipping the rear most diff to get rotation right ...... 's a cool solution![]()
But that would be like driving in reverse all the time on the rear diffnot really made for that as the thrust will be on the wrong side of the gear teeth

think about it Mog .. the pinion coming out the back of the 1st axle will be contra-rotating, so the rear one needs to do the same - agree on the thrustBut that would be like driving in reverse all the time on the rear diffnot really made for that as the thrust will be on the wrong side of the gear teeth

It will snap a half shaft before doing any damageI think the bigger problem would be no diff between axles.
or a std landroverIt will snap a half shaft before doing any damagejust like a shear bolt
Think you would be better off fitting air suspension and putting more pressure on one axle. Then when your stuck you can give it full wack. Would also give a better turning circle and save tyre wear.Could put a slip clutch on the rear axle, like on a tractor implement PTO?
