I had a flick through and seemed everything had a bid on it. Unknown delivery costs instantly put me off, especially when you see the prices on what mog was picking up!!

I have one of these for sale soon. We bought it to trial HVO in the vans and safeguard against the predicted fuel crisis. We have given up on HVO as its just too dear now. This tank has nearly 10 years warranty left, and has only had 1000 litres of fuel in it, and will be fully cleaned before sale. Its been indoors since purchases last summer (2022) Price is based on collection from EX227BG. Devon/Cornwall Delivery available at additional cost. £1750+vat or near offer.

We fit quite a few of the heating oil version. Lovely solid tanks. Far old lump though! Will fit on a 8x5 tipper or sit inside a GH1054 I think. 1500x2700 from memory? Sides are very square.

Handy tank for someone 👍

HVO-
Best mate who I install the acoustic enclosures with runs a generator business. Got a job a couple of years back to supply a genny for a wedding running on HVO, for the polar bears (our shorthand for 'eco bilge' ).
Total HVO consumption for the genny, about 40 litres.
Total diesel for a 316 sprinter running from Hertfordshire to Brighton, 2 round trips, towing, er maybe 80- 90 litres? 😆 🤣 😂

Absolutely, I always say, diesel wisely used will almost always be the correct fuel ⛽
To be fair - HVO is very good stuff, I would happily run everything off it, but only is the price was closer to Derv. Was £1.65+vat per litre last time I checked. Derv was £1.35+ at that time. (September) We have it in stock now at the Watsons depot 10 miles away, so many it might get cheaper. Trouble is it doesn't directly follow Derv in price so only seems to be viable when Derv shoots up and HVO doesnt follow as fast.

If the Donkeys that try and run this country could see past battery power as a way forward they would create some incentive to use HVO by reducing the duty to a level that its a viable alternative.!
I've been using GTL in my two machines for about six months now, it usually seems to be 3/4 p L more than Derv. and has most of the advantages of HVO, except for the green issue as its not carbon neutral or whatever the term is.
Fuel filters stay clean, no water adsorbed and when i first changed it was noticeable engines ran quieter and start quicker.
With the price of some filters now and the time and hassle involved in cleaning tanks etc. i'm happy to pay a few pence more. ?
