What were we saying crane drivers get paid the other month. I don't like letting a labourer use my kit let alone some plant worth a few hundred k
aye I agree .... don't like my gear in other ppl's hands ...... that was either total ignorance / stupidity or a moment's brain fart ..... anyone put in the seat of over half a mill.s-worth needs to be completely 'au fait' with his charge

I've had a few brain fart moments in my time but I don't drive a vehicle worth as much as my house

I would rather the low loader driver loads the equipment. I've seen several machines slip off the side in icy or snowy conditions, but few people want to load my Menzi. It is not difficult and Paul Mogman does, but no-one else apart from Tom, the dealer, will even look at it. As I don't have a loading ticket I guess I shouldn't be able to get it hauled anywhere.
Do you need a loader/securer ticket for every different machine you carry or does one cover it?
No very much the opposite one ticket covers all machines. Normally the question of who loads it is over insurance if you damage the lorry it doesn't bother me loading machines once you've done it a few times it's no different the tracking up a stockpile

"the investigation continues" ..... why ... if he was too bloody thick to realise it was going to jam, he shouldn't have anything more dangerous than a cup of tea in his hands
I'd guess it wasn't the blade jamming that got him the hit in the face but his riving method to get the blade unstuck. Really does highlight where things have ended up mind when investigation and report is needed and clearly done by someone with no idea. It could only be that or he didn't have a good hold of saw.

We do it all the time they must have been doing something silly as the blades don't jam and kick back like that if the kerb is less than the width of the blade to long
Anything more and we take it out and cut properly otherwise it looks messy

had one perched on top, if you look at the incident sketch, which dropped in as soon as it had space ... inevitable it was gonna jam - muppet

Looks like he was trying to rub a bit off with the side of the blade just enough to get it to drop, tempting and easier on the face of it but not on the face of him 🙂

The dumper incident highlights a couple of points. Don’t drive when pi$$ed!!
The cab may well have saved him from more serious injury compared to being unenclosed not strapped in. But the matter still comes down to tipping in a stupid position!! I can see spoil heaps being banned before long!!

the argument then will be 'what constitutes a heap' .... a foot high, three feet high, how big a base footprint??? it'd go on and on
'course they could just dig a hole and put it in that :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
