50kg is a fair lump to push home when it goes flat though!...

They look to be £4K plus over here. Very interested to see how you get on with it, I’d definitely like a go on one!
big Q is ...... are they license free and would presumably need insuring for road use ?? but then an electric bicycle which can be equally quick, need bugger all

I think a lot of people forget that when you go and buy a 2 litre turbo diesel car that's pushing 200hp it's gonna need a bit of fuel. 10/15 yr ago same motor probs 120hp and could probs push high 40s mpg.
What I don't get is why there are tons of cars at 250HP plus, but no pickups?

Amarok v6 has just finished but at price they were they were never gonna top sales charts. I guess warranty/build strength would be a big factor. 250hp+ cars only have their own weight to move but a pickup with 3 ton behind and a big hp motor would fast find out and weaknesses (its why toyota used to publish a lower towing weight than a hilux was actually plated at)

Electric bikes are only legally allowed to assist up to 15mph though got to be pedaling only over 15. I can tell you that de restricted a full sus e-mtb that'll comfortably help you to 30 mph plus is epic. Motors and batteries don't like it mind.

Amarok will push over 300bhp easily.
But pathetic UK regs mean it couldn't tow 3.5t hence was much maligned. A standard 258bhp one will drag anything ...😉😉 Goodness knows what the 400bhp decat with gear box mods will tow like 👌 but they're out of production so enjoy the 2.0L pickups untill even them are canned in 2030 to keep Greta and co happy. 🤬🤬🤬

But put 3ton behind one and hammer it everywhere and i bet drivetrain will soon spot dummy. Tbh most pickups are still running drivetrain they had when they were 90hp

seems it's not classified as a bicycle - no pedals - but an electric moped with a 30mph limit .... see the small print says they have a 'full power' dodge "for off road use ":LOL:... yeh right :giggle::LOL::ROFLMAO:

There is another class for these electric scooters you stand on but i think it might be on a trial basis, again limited at 15mph. But yeah its an electric motorbike.

I spent 1/2 hr on one of these at the trials club a few weekends ago ..... what a brilliant thing - I normally ride a 300 2t Beta and it felt very torquey (y)

There was a hire place opened here just after the first lockdown ended but i think it succumbed to the tougher restrictions that followed shortly after.
