well turns out ive bust my phone this week, back to using my old windows phone
is the cat s61 worth getting them?
been looking at reviews and even though its last years phone is still rated as the best about.
for those with the s61 what is the voc sensor like?
The voc sensor is good. On the few occasions I venture into a city it says I shouldn't be there 🙄. I believe that there's a new model without the FLIR just available, but I'm dead happy with mine.

So what's a good though smartphone for £100?
Ulefone X3 is only 3g so no good.
Ulefone X6 is a bit spendy at £250.
Cat s61 is bloody stupid money.
I would like to try something other than a doogee and would like to buy from UK not China. I'm tempted to try a non tough phone but think it could be short lived.

Im not sure, wasnt looking at spending a load on a phone but I'm tempted by the cat.

last few years have just one for what ever the best budget phone recommendation on techradar was for sub 200 phones

my lenovo lasted 2 years, so for the money was decent, was in a cheap rubber (ish) case and went through a few screen protectors. finally managed to crack the screen but its been hit and miss for battery life and charging for a while and signal has been bad

All of which i'd personally avoid most like the plauge... I have tried the approach of not wishing to spend much money. Fact is the phone now is as much a part of the buisness as the machine it'self.... £360 for a cat S60 is'nt bad at all, not as flash as the 61 but just as good IMHO.

'fraid you lost me at "apps" ..... I don't have mine enabled for 'net ... too bloody small to be much use to me, so don't bother .... can well see that a lot of folks need the facility though ...

I've gone for a £80 Nokia from tesco. I will try and be careful with this one and leave it in the car while working. Time will tell.

For those using the cat phones are you using any sort of screen covers?

Been a while since spent a bit on a phone although to be fair for half back from insurance so lightens the dent. Although looking through the details the screen covered for two year warranty.
How have they held up damage wise to the rest of the phone?
I use to have a case and screen cover on my last phone but the case absolutely hammered the phone from bits of sand/stone getting between the case and phone

thats what i find when using a phone cover, little bits get in and sand away at the hone and screen. I get on alot better with nothing on it.

Just wet wipes phone off if dirty and carry on

Me neither. I have a couple of piddly little dings in the glass which are more of an irritation than anything else, but when I look at the cases that people put on their phones, the raw Cat is no bigger.

I had a s61 for three weeks and got a tiny bit of weld splatter on the screen and that cracked it top to bottom 😩 fair play got it repaired but couldn’t get my head around the system of an android phone (had iPhones for years) so gave it to my brother and went back to apple🤔
