A Little Sunday fun today, digging for sewer, by myself! Just the way i like it! lots of work at this site over the next few years. Nice to be so close to home.

What a week! I seem to be trapped in the office most days, but i made a run for it, and got some time on the levers!
first of the week our new 317G came in to the dealer (After 9 months!) wide tracks, 72" bucket, and a broom. Trading in the old one one, nice to have a cab now. Open Rops skid steer's are for the birds!
Ran the backhoe around town a lot this week, dug a few foundations, and fixed a sewer. I'm wanting a 24" smooth bucket, and a riddle/rake bucket now.
Than spent this morning moving rocks from the yard, to a wall project i will start Monday.

Excellent thread, don’t know why I never read it before. Some excellent machinery you have, but it seems to change quite a bit, what all is currently on the fleet @BillybobLockwood ?

oof, its a bit of list, most bought very used and reconditioned, but here it goes. I don't know how it happened, Bigger than i wanted to be, but we still have more work than we can handle.

Fun week, starting to feel like fall here though, Love this time of year. Got the new skid steer running, and did a few grading jobs with it.

Hi All!
Had a lot of fun this week. Said Fu** the office and got on the machines! Doing a Big cut and fill with the cat 420 and D3 in bonney lake. This round rock is hell in the small dozer. Nearly became a alcoholic getting through that! I bulked out the cut with deep slots, than starting from the back, combined the slots and cleaned up the floor. Did the 7' back wall cut with the backhoe. I Really need a dumper. Digging and pushing this trash was horrible. Loading in a dumper would be much easier. It's really good fun digging with a backhoe.
This morning i started finishing the floor and grading the fill. lots of little tricks to get enough fines to the top, to get a nice grade. lots of blade angle, work a windrow back and forth, and hold the left edge of the blade up when slotting. lets the fines under, and the bones in front of the blade. Had an oil pressure light come on, and cat came straight out to get me going again. Bloody good service lately.
Pretty happy with the finished product. I'll take the Deere and Level best over tomorrow and get the floor really flat. Right now its about 2" +/-, I like keeping within 5 mill for the concrete guys.

Hey all.
It's been a minute. We've been awful Busy, and i figured I'd take a quick moment and post about it. We're working in a new build estate right now, about an hour from my home. It's been good fun, but I'm getting tired of the long drive. Winter is proving to be a nice break. I've started a new build custom home in north bend, and rented the new D4 to Push out the bulk. Bloody good dozer. Had some snow to at the end of that week.
Sold the 303.5 unfortunately. Has been a lemon from day one, and i finally decided enough was enough. Trying to decide about its replacement now, either a 302.7, 304, or maybe a Kubota-6 machine.
Business! I'm one of those people that is always often tormented with ideas and self doubt when it comes to Religion, direction, and business decisions. After a lot of reflection, I've decided we overshot the mark a little on how big i want to be. As such we're selling a few of the excavators, and getting back to two crews. I'm young, and want to travel and see a little more of the world before we take on real growth.
