HUDDIG!!!!!!
I've been missing operating something terrible, so this spring we've made some big changes to get me back in the seat. I've sold my trusty 313, and a skid steer, the fate of the cat backhoe is still undecided. We hired two top men, both my age, one runs the 321 excavator, and the other does the mini machine work, and the dozer.
I'm back in the seat every day, or at least every opportunity, running a new to us Huddig 1260C, we bought well used off a railroad contractor. Bloody Brilliant this thing. between being able to drive backwards, and having a tilt rotator, I am totally in love. Did a nice site cut with it last week, builder was very impressed, and i had a lot of fun.
after we finished that site, I drove the Huddig about 30 kilometers to a road slide job we have been wrapping up. The Huddig's speed and versatility really showed here, while lining the ditches with rock, and shouldering the road.
The end of this week had me removing some concrete at the bottom of the road job.

Hey All. Had a lot of work on lately, and no time to post. We've been doing a lot of mowing with the huddig, and site work. Had Some fun digging for a sheet pile company last week, although its bloody Hot! 39C on friday!

Happy Sunday Gentleman!
Been proper Busy on the big, and the mini digger work lately. My crew is rebuilding some big walls that fell down in the city. Had to bring in the 321 to hammer out a lot of rock in the footing for one.
I've been Bloody busy on the Huddig, and in the 303.5 doing farm work and some smaller residential stuff. The 420 is not to be forgotten however! it will soon be busy with me again, digging house holes, and doing utilities. Lately its been getting a bit of abuse, being used as the forklift for our retaining wall crew.
It's not all roses However, I'm getting burnt out on all the crazy. once the backhoes and new 313 are paid for, we will scale back quite a bit i think.

The new 74HP 313GC Earning its keep lately.
A new to us 312E. We bought it to run a hammer, but everyone likes it more than the new one, so with some new body panels, it will be put into daily service.

yeh .... couple of dozen Huddigs in the UK and there'd be no room for much more kit

There is a pivot point on end of boom if it had extra dig it would put a fair amount of strain on it, dipper ram has a double hinge point to accommodate it

Morning! Today is labor day in the US, But with to much to do, I'm working at least!
Grading native for a road, in a small housing plot I've been doing work in this year. The Builder is a bit of a hack, and tries to do a lot of it himself, so we only have done the intricate work here. I'm Still damn Grumpy with this 303.5. Its horrible underpowered, and tough to do nice work with. Wish I'd Bought a 302.7 or a 304. This kind of work is good fun!
