I have one of these on a 150 litre vessel for sucking the sludge out of bottom of oil tanks and bunds. Copes with anything that will fit in the hose. Think its on 1.5" hose not 2" like I said. Sucks it up then blows it back out. Still think that for soil it needs to be one that can be tipped out of a hatch.

This one up for sale locally for £5000. Wonder how much the skid unit would weigh empty/stripped down/cut down to just the Vaccum unit and tank. If it could be slimmed down to 2700 kg ish then maybe interesting.

That was a mates few years back will suck half a 4" block up had dumper that did the tight places with a sealed lid on top the hose from truck would create the vacuum by a long hose and then a shorter hose would be used to hoover the ground up into the dumper
Truck was at limit on weight so dirt had o be dumped out on the site

That's hellsva bit of kit, and I think very cheap for what it is, but oversized for what I had in mind

was about to say the same . .. no plating either ... probably reg. as special vehicles .. and yes will be on white now
It will need plating under the new rules as it's based on a stock HGV chassis.... However those mercs are good reliable units and you'd transplant the unit onto another lorry chassis without issue.

IF your work was local enough I'd suggest mounting it as a FIXED trailer to a small tractor to get around it

I am waiting for a look at the log book. Unsure if exempt from O-Licensing though?

I tend to agree, but Russ's Liebherr doesn't need plating on his stock Scania chassis (which seems odd):unsure:
