Dont know about improving emissions.... you'll definitely see smoke when you pull off at a junction 🤣
But it will improve everything else, including fuel efficiency.

Folks opinion on Renault master vans?

Speaking with a customer today who’s had 30+ transit vans the last 10 years, said he won’t have another, costly to fix/run, every single one has been broken into.. said they just attract trouble! 🤔

I had one until recently (66 plate), it was my first van starting out - the cheapest big euro 6 van I could find.

Not as nice a drive as a Transit, they feel a bit cheap and nasty but basically OK.

I only had one breakdown in it, turned out to be an injector issue but was a real pig to diagnose, mainly because I got fed up of waiting for the mechanic and ended up fixing it myself.

Main issue was bits of trim falling off every 5 minutes, but it was high mileage ex-courier so mainly held together with CT1 and self tappers.

Ironically the mechanics I spoke to said hold on to the Renault and forget the Isuzu I replaced it with... the Master is a pretty sound van apparently and the Isuzu can throw big bills.

Towing wise not great, 6t train but I was often running around over that and power wise not much different from my Grafter which people seem to rate?? It handled a lot of abuse really, main problem was how low the towbar was especially once the van was loaded.

Alun Griffiths used a fleet of them round here for years ... took huge abuse and were always pretty reliable, according to his fitters ..

We have had a couple of the Movanos which are rebadged Masters. Had a RWD and a FWD. Couldn't fault either. Our 70plate one has done 40K and only fault so far is the sliding door electrical plug needed replacing. Nowhere near as nice as Transit but lots cheaper. Also you can look at Nissan NV400 or later Nissan Interstar as basically same thing.
