2021 kobelco sk55 fault

It might be worth speaking to a hydraulic ram specialist . Describe the fault and ask them what could cause it . I’m wondering if the initial damaged valve block could have damaged something inside the ram . @mickthefitter or @CPS might shed some light on this . If you get some specialist advice it might give you some grounds to go back to them with .
I’ve seen old diggers cavitate like that before but never a new one.
Have you got any video off it ?

I’d be contacting Molsons at Warrington, try and speak to a technical expert in service dept, explain your situation, see if they will let you go down and have ago on another new machine. Take someone with you to film it behaving correctly(hopefully) prove its not a ‘characteristic feature’
Then go back armed and don’t accept any less than it being sorted or a swap, you will struggle to get them to take the machine back and refund you tbh. I’ve had new machines swapped out before due to them being a dog, but I still had to pay a little to get into a newer one, which is fair enough as I had put hours/wear on etc.

All the dealers work has to be done through molsons who go to kobelco amsterdam who passed it on to kobelco hq and still no answers and tbh after this i never want another kobelco lol

Its had new bucket ram tried and was no different its had anti cavitation valves added inline no different its been stripped out and now has new valve block and i havent got it back yet but dont think its any better

Whatever happened to that chap on Twitter with his Doosan? Massive issues he took them to court I think

if it's who I'm thinking of, he got shot and slags the Doosan at every opportunity .. we have a member here who has had similar issues with Doosan and IIRC has unloaded his too ? he may comment?

Ironically he’s swapped to kobelco…..

I’m sure I heard of a local contractor who had similar issues with a new 13 tonne Kobelco, and Molsons couldn’t fix that either…

I looked quite seriously at a SK58 .....its all about the backup.

Might be worth a shout to CPA and see what advice they can give you. HSE won’t be interested in how it was sold, in their eyes it’s on you if you’re using it in an unsafe condition.
