My thinking was just move it with machine to each bit you’re working at , I’ve looked at getting some stillages and leading together etc. Also he tidier way of storing and finding everything on site rather than white plastic bags of fittings etc

I use this , great tool. If you don’t happen to cut the pipe square it takes it back untill it is

been looking at these how long do they take to cut the pipe? ive got a rigid cutter and it takes ages to cut it so much that don't use it, use battery recipes saw, then chamfer in drill got 2 different ones. fast enough and works well. was going to make a jig/guide for recip to get truer 90 degree cuts.

also asked for a price from site stack for there mini drainage station thing looks handy

What blade are you using in your recip I have the standard long hss blades but they tend to wonder on the cut, was thinking of trying the taller blades as might help it stay square

lacks a squaring guide though .... it leans and grips the pipe ... a suitable pair of fingers'd help a lot for keeping cuts square

Ts420 cut straight through the pipe then chamfer with the side of the blade I've not had any luck using much else as it either gets run over or living in the s**t kills it I did have a chamfer tool for the drill but after it killed the drill I gave up on it

Same as that Tom , nothing will beat the 14 inch blade on the still ts420 saw for speed and you can chamfer the pipe in 2 swipes when you get good at it . I know officially we shouldn’t be doing it so having the battery grinder out at the same time is probably wise .

Just be a matter of adjusting if it always rests at same angle you would soon get it off... better than blade getting nipped.

I’m using these slightly slower but results in straighter cut

have a couple of problems doing stuff like this ....
getting harder to find ppl to supply materials (unless buying in sufficiently large quantities) ... now me mate down the road has retired
processing sheet without a guillo / bending facilities is uphill, or finding ppl that will, to sub it to, is ever harder (and adds dramatically to costs) - used to have it all

knocking stuff together is a POP in comparison to the above

they are an eye watering price for what's in 'em

for the circa 250-350kgs of materials in them they are totally stupid money .... even accounting for the time/labour involved in manufacture and finish, .. for batch production they are an insane price tag ...... but then so much is these days to pay for the top heavy nature of most companies ... not enough doing - way too many clinging to shirt tails for a buck

Yeah rekon you could make something up quite easily. Doesn't have to be perfect if it's for your own use

Biggest thing when cutting pipes especially when it's colder unless there's somebody holding the offcut you want pipe supported in 3 places along its length so it doesn't break off before you've cut through it and split the pipe down it's length. None of these cutting aids or pipe stations address this
