If it’s a transit (which it looks like from the mirrors) it’s almost definitely overloaded too, as they can’t legally tow much generally (couple of tonnes tends to be the maximum, which is enough for most caravans).

Sod all wrong with that.
I knew you'd be along to say that.

It must be on the limit of the trailer. All the weight is as high as the Transit roof. If one little thing goes wrong (lashing point gives up or a floorboard pops with the point loading) then there's only one way it's going and someone will likely die.

All for the want of a sleeper across the front to lay the headstock down on. It would be so simple to have that five times as safe.

We shift our selector grab open like that..... Looks wrong until you try securing it or resting it any other way and realise it sits nicest like that.

No different to any other load...... Drive according to conditions. Unlike some I've seen on here at least it's strapped.

it's actually chained and I bet those binders are giving the floor boards and the tie downs some serious grief

I expect those tie downs are actually attached to the cross members.... Yes it's chained... so better than straps.

FYI that is a prodem Grab to my eye, likely for a 20t class machine (Again to my eye) If we said it was one of these models it'd still be under 2000kg.
