just done a sweep about .. all secure .... not a breath of wind ATM ... has dropped completely since seven o'clock ??? ..... the calm before the tish hits the fan
according to this it should still be pretty breezy out there ?

Clara's school shut tomorrow, as most seem to be in Wales ..... looking at the tide times it's gonna be pretty well in by the time it kicks off ... wouldn't wanna be on the coast in the morning ..... @Left hooker 's gonna be busy putting the beaches back where they belong early this year

remember it well .... was some night ... Parents were in France waiting to catch the morning ferry back .... returned to utter carnage off the boat, which was an exciting ride apparently

Had something similar in Sept. '91 or could've been '92 .... was sat in the port at le Havre, when the night ferry came in .... don't think there was a car with a straight panel on it, came past me ... caravans pulverised ..... said to some chap who looked pretty green, "rough night was it?" ..... he said " if you haven't got to get on that boat - don't!! " was still blowing like f**k ....... so i didn't ..... not as it ever bothers me .... I've been the only one in the restaurant for full English, on several occasions

still real calm here ... let's hope it's Michael Fish's revenge and now't appears .... can't see it some how though ....

our 'nice' neighbours are off to Norway skiing tomorrow and have just called to say they're leaving tonight, in case the bridges're shut in the morning (very likely) 7pm flight from Heathrow and were supposed to leaving mid morning after showing me their chicken regime - we're tending to 'em for a week. so've had a long talk through tonight .. would've been quicker to have popped down there

Was calm all evening but last half an hour it's starting to pick up. Godspeed everyone- hope damage is minimal- I'm off to lala land

Picked up loads now but not quite the worst yet that's still to come
Couple areas of Cornwall are with out power down on the south coast nr Penzance
It's the high tides and wind combo that will be the interesting one as probably flood quite a few places on the sea fronts
