Steady 40 in the 60 limits is it...

nah ... I don't hang about when the opportunity presents itself LL ... just a lot of traffic, bloody roadworks everywhere, lanes closed and a lot of new limits ... 50 on a DC FFS and bloody cameras everywhere ... couple of miles of M4 down to 50 .. TM either side in the shoulder, diggers everywhere and not a bloody soul to be seen in a couple of stretches ..... they should be variables when the ****ers aren't working .... night shifting apparently, so let the bloody traffic go when it's light FFS
biggest concrete pump I've ever seen in one spot .... cruciform swing out riggers, like Russ's Lieb, but way bigger that the Lieb's rigger spread ..... absolute beast of a thing working in a field beside the M4 ... looked to be pumping a bridge pour

Yep m4 is crap between zooport and other side of Cardiff. Still unsure if they've turned the average cameras on yet

They put av speed cams on a section of A road here a few years back. Anyone in the know knew they didn't work as there was no leccy supply where they were. Caught a few out that missed seeing them dig a cable in though

They admitted a few months ago they hadn't turned them on at that point

great thing about appointments ATM is they tell you to come alone - so no passengers ....... so can make progress as and when poss. ..... without any ear ache

Twice lately M6 has been shut...after "elderly disoriented gentleman" headed south on northbound carriageway...

bit of a shopping expedition / Aldi / various hit earlier in the week and surprised to find Aldi'd started on their extension (thought they'd hit panning issues, last time I looked?) .....

big old rig and a lot of action on a small site ... alluvial flood plain there so going down a hell of a long way with the drill .. God knows why ... didn't with their original build ? ... X is the drill rig's location in first pic .. 'fore he moved back a bit

have done a deal with ATS to build them a new unit along the river bank - pink/blue in my aerial pic ...... and their yard will become orange below (rented perhaps as Aldi's red boundary seems to take in the whole plot?)

'fore buying the old bus station across the other side of the road (A40) in '83, where i spent the following 30 odd years, earning a living in 10,000ft2 of w/shop (which i miss immensely - but not the grief)

just had a look at the planning portal again and here's Aldi's full finished proposal .... ATS look to have done well out of it, better than the original plan .... their current building has been condemned for as long as i can remember ... falling apart, with cracks/subsidence everywhere ..... deffo looks like they'll be renting though ..... not like Michelin who own ATS

actually been dry enough today to get six finger's swag out of me trailer ..... guarantee I'll want it, if it's left in there and'll have to empty it in the p*ssing rain !! .... aaaand had some time to meself ... boss'd gone for a hair cut - did offer, but she wasn't too enthused at the idea .. plus no grand dadding duties today ...... for a change ... having two now local tends to cut into the week a bit

Been some bit wild here today ... dropped for a few minutes this morning to give us this .....

but blowing a hooley again by lunchtime ...... but not raining so .... got this lot out and banded to keep it in one bundle for forking about at a later date

followed by a seeeeeeeerious pair of forks

were right lil' sods to handle and land on me own ..... better watch they don't melt, next time the bin's lit

did the 'Drema good to have an hour or so's run up and some use .... started first flick, as usual ... not been run in 'praps two months

got a request earlier in the week from Vicki ... did i have any mesh suitable to keep a rat out of Clara's chicken's run ... burrowing under the run's edge and getting in to steal their food ...... as luck would have it still have a part roll of 1/2 x 1/2 x 16g galvy weldmesh left from making Josh's camper roof rack basket ... perfect 4 ft width for the required size, so had to run off 73" and flatten it out ..... oh for me rollers ... but i have an alternate method, all be it a little more primitive than normalising it in the rolls
brute force and some subtle handling

one panel as per order .....

I suggested a frame for it, to sit under the run .... jury's still out .... but reckon Ratus Ratus'll just find a way under it otherwise

dunno whether they were on L,s with instructors beside 'em, or someone's actually passed 'em as fit and given 'em C&E,s
