Squeak is till very much with us and was cared for by our 'nice' neighbours, who'd just returned from a ski trip in Frankland (Norway), the night before and I'd been reciprocating, tending to their kid's chickens, in their absence.

Squeak was well happy to see us return this evening

although he had free run of the house, I don't think it was the same for him, with out his
pet humings to tend to his every need
