I'm very tempted by this.
What I should have bought when I bought my Norcar, but at the time didn't know anyone else with a mini loader and wasn't sure how useful it would be. I had end of the line of the model this replaced and this was 50% more money. In hindsight I should have spent the extra, but we are all clever in hindsight.

I generally believe governments don’t spend our money wisely so the less they have of mine the better.
What is a fair take?
In my eyes higher personal allowances are great. The reality for the rich is once it gets over 40% they start wholesale avoidance. And with whatever you have left you then pay VAT on everything. So taxation on what you earn followed by taxation on what you spend. There will never be a perfect balance but stopping the incentive to earn reduces the ability to spend.
Low income tax and with high personal allowances and a reform of VAT. Anyone care to vote for that??
The trouble with high starting rate for paying income tax is a huge number of people end up paying no income tax and this divorces them from any incentive to vote for governments who are fiscally responsible. Much easier to vote for more "free stuff".

What's the specs on that? Looks nice.

You should have a good amount of residuals in your old machine?
To be honest I have no idea what my current one is worth. You don't see that many second hand mini loaders about and very very few Norcars.

3 options.
1,Traditional as in haulier charges you vat and normally and admin fee.
2, get your own deferment account and HMRC take it 45 days later.
3, use PVA which is effect vat neutral as you account for it in your vat return.

Last two do require setting up etc but obviously cash flow advantages

Interesting comment on the pension contributions. Thank you but no Thank you. I have much preferred rowing my own boat with regards to the property portfolio. There are great incentives tax wise to put your money in pension pots, locked away safely, so they can nibble away each year at having a slice of your cake. This might be for the vast majority of people. But personally I prefer to pay the tax due and keep control of what happens to the rest. The pension rules have had some great reforms over the last decade. But tax relief on the total pot will be a thing of the past before long. Mind you tax is going to be a far bigger issue in the coming years. But be sure that Company tax will always be at a lower rate than personal taxation.
This is not a criticism of any of your views. This forum is a platform in which like minding individuals (like of plant) are able to discuss issues that go beyond that point. It is always amazing how a thread can go off on a tangent not relevant to the original point. 👏👏👏👏
Correct with the pension, imho the only time they make sense,is a sipp, when you pay in as a40% tax payer n take out as a 20% tax payer, better off with an ISA

My wife’s makes sense as she pays in 5% of her salary and the company pays 7%. Makes a big difference on rate of return for the ££££ she puts in!!

I've flogged me ole disco 4 for 8 years now and it's time to move on. Who's all running round in the 3L disco 5 and who has an SQ7?

Disco 5 is lovely to drive but nowhere near as practical as the 4. Tows well and goes well but feel more delicate inside. Has a stupid electric fold down half tailgate thing in the and the boot doesn't feel anywhere near as big. The 110 defender is far more comparable to the disco 4

I had a D5 TDV6, loved it would have another no probs but was costing me a fortune in finance so flogged it last summer and made 4K 😁
Mine was 68 plate so the older engine the new upgraded SDv6 definitely felt more grunty when we had one. Only issue we had in 3 years was leaking screen. They ain't made in UK so more reliable 😆
Them SQ7s go like the clappers 😳 and fetching sully money atm

Got a 22 D300 disco5, r-dynamic trim so it’s all fancy looking. Very nice drive, and shifts for a big motor! Not dropped the tow bar yet but I don’t think it’s gonna struggle! 6month+ wait list, and I doubt you’d get much discount nowadays!
