What vans have 7000kg GTW?

I’m still on the hunt for this van and it’s like finding the proverbial needle in the haystack just now
Anyway I’ve just come across an ex water boardIveco 50c 17 it’s a 2014 .
Anyone got any experience of them and what are the issues of having a van plated at 5200kg ?

Issue with the 5.2t is the need for o license and associated bits, downplating to 3.5t would be pointless as the 5t is easily a good 200+ kg heavier than a standard 3.5t version

Rented yard for me

But you can rent a parking space in most places if you need

No, if its heavy enough for O licence, it will need to go to the goods vehicle test place.
Class 7 test is up to 3500kg

Yes run restricted.

I am now no longer testing the limits of vehicles and has opened up more opertunities to keep things in house and more profitable.

I've bought 2 lorries that are paid for and been owner drivers and kept on top of maintenance.

With the van your looking at you'd need to send it for a ministry test every year and have it inspected every so often. The average is 6 weekly but I think it can range from 4 to 13 week depending on use, age, miles ect.

depends how far from home base you are operating ... within IIRC 100 kliks radius .. no tacho required

Yes prity much. But my normal working day gets nowhere near them.

Just got a quote to upplate my 15 plate ranger to 7000kg £350+vat. I already have airbags on the rear and bf’s which are 121 weight rated and a 17.2kn tow hitch.
All through Sv tech. Think I’m gona go for it as the ranger can really either tow a trailer or load in the pick up.
I don’t think that’s too steep a price. Air bags hitch and tyres are the only upgrades that are required.

To me pick ups are only a compromise. I'd rather tow 3.5t behind a 3.5t truck. It's alot more civilised. And that's from 16 years of towing with pick ups.
