Yes, I have one on my TD5 - mine has a ball on it also. Dead handy, just nose up to a ring hitch trailer and align everything, then back on into it and it locks into place.

to go with some odds an' sods i'd already lopped and processed for an idea I'd been pondering
knocked together for a trial fit
only to find I need to pay more attention to what I'm up to than answering the bloody phone .... having made this 27" O/all ... it should've been 27" between ... never mind ... fortunately it's steel .. not wood
bit of 'extra' bits and a bit of hot stick .... sorted .. bloody annoying .. but sortable
and so for the next trial fit ..... which was a lot more successful

and it sat like this for a while ...... whilst it got pee-ed on, on/off for a few days
when it did dry up 'the boss' reckoned it was time to give this a going over ..

and get some sort of collection off it
this ain't bad, compared to the start of the season's cuts ... trailer's usually overflowing

weather's been on/ off for a while and getting stuff done's been a 'dry spell' job ...
gotten odds an' sods done between the wet stuff ...
'nother little 'ponder job' ...
After some thought, I'd decided this was the easiest option for this ....
set up ready for some hot stick treatment
got lil' Jake up on a couple of sleeper blocks to save having to grovel on me knees ...
couple of carefully measured 13mm holes
some wedge washers and lock nuts and
one solid mount, easily and quickly popped off ..
and a trial fit ...
just the right shape and position to dig out of nicely too if you don't want to tip it out
once the weather'd improved, I was back onto this
having gotten several more bits an' pieces knocked out for it in the less pleasant weather ...
interspersed with a day emptying the ground floor of the house on a stunningly nice day to Vax all the carpets .. didn't get done last year, through lack of a decent enough day .... was a some bit 'ot day .. good for drying .. not so good for the actual doing, but always looks great afterwards
so having gotten it all together t'was time for .............
a coat or two of hammer finish pewter ..... bloody great resilient finish, fair play to Firwoods ...

the hitch ?? ... worked out well and is SOLID
... skip is well balanced too, so shouldn't exert too much on the idlers either ... not as it's likely to get used a great deal anyway

this is an alternate body for dragging stuff like strimmers, rakes, etc., around the place, and up and down the drive ....
trial fits ... after wrestling a sheet of ply I'd had stashed, out of the black shed
and a couple of bits of Ikea's best wood from a defunct computer station that Vicki'd no longer had any 'love' for and got dumped on me, in case I had a use for it
yep all looked fine so ......
waterproof the base, with a couple of coats o' Firwoods ali primer/top coat and stick this out the way for a day or two ....
Vicki was by now a week overdue .... and Pam was stressing .....
get a phone call Friday morning at six ..... can we come and collect Clara please .... Vicki'd started in the early hours ... and the last thing they needed was to have to get Clara off to school / collect her, etc., or have to worry about anything other than Vicki and the imminent new arrival ......
Pam is now even more stressed
Clara spent the night with us Friday night and still no news .... Pam now reaching level 11 on the stress scale - " Forcrisesakes .. relax Pam - no news is good news "
4 am ... " do you think she's ok? " " again - forcrisesakes .. relax - no news is good news - we'll soon hear if there's any problems - Clara was 28 hrs " !!!
T'were a relatively early start Saturday ... Clara'd been breakfasted, sorted and getting ready to go to her dance class she does on a Sat. morning ..... and the phone rang ..... " Baby girl, 8lb 4 ozs .. fit and healthy, mum is fine too - don't tell Clara, 'til after her class, we'll call back after it, to tell her " " told you to chill we'd soon hear if there were any issues "
Stress level plug pulled ... dropped Clara at her class, whizzed (dragged ) round the town for suitable baby girl things and pick up 'Big Sis'
to be informed of her new rank in the pecking order, by mummy and daddy .... one very excited little girl came home with us.
Damn me, we'd barely been back and we get a call ... " We're home -- give us a couple of hours to get some zeds and come on down " .. after a 30+hr labour and a rare (1:80,000), but text book en caul / 'mermaid birth', they'd kicked 'em out !
Couple of hours later, Clara is cuddling her new baby sister, granny is busting for her turn, Vicki looks amazing - knackered but amazing, Chris just looked totally knackered, after well over two days awake and I am banned from releasing any pix 'til I'm told ....
I did get a cuddle too though ... never held such a young human baby before .. she's gorgeous
this morning ... Pam disappointed to be asked to let them catch up a bit with their rest today .. can't wait to go down tomorrow - after she's done me hamster juice .............. and i got this done
forgot to take one after I'd trimmed all the bolts off and fixed the back end down ..... need to get some 20 x 20 x 3 RSA to make up a tail board frame .. so's gonna have to wait for that and need to get me some weatherproofing for the timber sides ... used me last varnish in lockdown on Pam's planters and haven't replenished stock yet , so it got .......

....... not likely to for a few days either, would be my guess .... 's been a bit of a busy couple of days
