Bit rough that you didn’t get any buckets with that little JCB.
keep up James .....
...... with " a new 9in, 12”, 18”, 24” all in very good condition, used but plenty of life left jcb grader, homemade ripper with cat tooth, BMC rake bucket."
nothing with an edge, other than the 900 grader and I want summat for bulking with ;)

Does the ‘new’ bucket curl right up the the dipper?

on the komatsu it’s got a JCB quick hitch that someone has adapted to fit the machine but got the geometry wrong so the buckets don’t curl round enough🙄 another job when it gets back👍

'bout 35mm short of a strike at the edge Mog .... it'll hold a load and is close enough without having to watch it ... not gonna lose much at full height from a stuffed bucket

very wet overnight, but'd slowed to a light drizzle by the time I stuck this on the table
WP_20210805_13_30_17_Pro.jpg

looked like it was gonna clear up ..... this lil' sod took some busting up , but fair play to the splitter ...... it takes no prisoners :giggle:
WP_20210805_13_31_27_Pro.jpg

no matter what/how/where the grain runs ... it is going to concede :)
by the time I'd gotten what i'd managed to size up done ...

and in the trailer .....
WP_20210805_18_44_34_Pro.jpg

it'd gone from light drizzle to bloody monsoon .... know what it's like ... just get finished off  .... was like a drowned rat :( ...... hopefully me bits for Charlie and his mate'll arrive tomorrow and I can get the rest of it all sized up for the Morso/splitter's table and get the patch tidied up ... 'sposed to be a lot drier tomorrow - apparently
reckon I have a good trailer load left to give the treatment to .... if the stack down by the wood shed gets topped off with this lot, the rest'll probably get bagged.

Slightly !!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: ........ I'll say ... should've wound the 'Drema up, but was lashing down and couldn't be arsed for just the one 'lumper' ... Lil Jake'd've been handy for sure ;)(y)

took you some pix @Mogman ....... thought it came round tighter than that, but'll do the job fine .... could've gotten away with less angle on the cheeks, but copied the bottom to pin angles on the other buckets (roughly/near as damn it) ...

WP_20210805_20_42_09_Pro.jpg

little devil will lie on the keyboards ..... and anything else he can sprawl on :giggle: 16+lbs of Squeak, lies where ever he wants :LOL:

got a bit more of this done today
WP_20210806_14_28_13_Pro.jpg

and tackled a few 'silly sized' lumps ... with a bit of cunning ..
WP_20210806_15_41_07_Pro.jpg
was a beast of a thing
WP_20210806_15_43_02_Pro.jpg

but it had to surrender
WP_20210806_15_57_30_Pro.jpg

and made up a fair pile
WP_20210806_18_03_59_Pro.jpg

not a lot left .... but needs Charlie's tender attention
WP_20210806_18_42_43_Pro.jpg

no way can I persuade them into the splitter (or the Morso after)
parked it down the bottom after tea
WP_20210806_19_37_41_Pro.jpg

and transferred a few bits
WP_20210806_20_41_40_Pro.jpg

got a bit of a hole to fill yet and can raise the front up another foot to back fill it down to the wall level, then get it sheeted down .... got enough room in front to take another row stacked tidily, if it all splits nicely ... the knotty stuff is a case of however it splits / chops though .... might invest in a couple of sheets of hardboard to go on top, under the sheet, stop it getting ripped to hell. ;)(y):sneaky:

not long got back from a lil' trip to the SAS camp, down the road, with Russ, loading 9 tonnes of BTR60 rusky 8 wheeled APC ... no pix sadly .... passport required to get through the main gate and they put a sticker over your phone's camera lens, which changes colour if you so much as tweak a corner before you leave (if you're allowed to leave, of course) ;)

this pic below is as close to how it looked leaving, as if I'd taken it myself .... 'cept the tyres had a lot less wind in 'em  and we were in 'a field', in the middle of nowhere ;)
1628332023181.png

ex-Ainscough truck and steering 4 axle trailer and had to get the boards out on that too.
Amphibious apparently, with what looked like two Lada engines on steroids in the arse of it - petrol of course .... will propel you along at the mind warping speed of 25 kliks ...... if it was running ..... hence Russ and his Liebherr .....
have to give it to the Ruskies ... make an awesome 1300-18 tyre ... well over 25 years old and look as good as new .. remarkable !!
Off to the military workshops in ********* to get repaired.

Nice little 3hr earner :giggle::cool::cool:

followed this back for a couple of miles .....
WP_20210807_10_22_40_Pro.jpg

the numpty in the veedub had come tearing out of a side turning, in front of me, like a loon, without even a glance right, took off like a scalded cat, round a corner and damned near up the arse of this ... Karma :giggle::giggle::LOL:

another miserable day -- for August   .... Pam's been wanting to get the pressure washer on the floor outside the house for ages and as it was already seriously wet, was ideal ....

WP_20210808_14_40_53_Pro.jpg

quite remarkable how much tish gets carried here by vehicle wheels and foot fall ... usually gets done twice a year, but been a while since it last got treated  ..... she loves playing with it too ... looked an OK job after she'd finished
WP_20210808_19_37_06_Pro.jpg

only down side was i have to set it up and put it all away .... and tweaked my back getting the damned thing down out the black shed ... haven't done that in ages

I managed to sort an outside IP68 socket box, between the rain showers (deluges, actually), for a water pump, that turned up yesterday, for one of Pam's 'watery features' ,with an incredibly short lead:mad:, change a couple of halogen floods, that'd mysteriously 'failed' within a couple of days of each other (got some LED units to replace them with, but just too bloody wet to go pratting about with 'em) and several downlighters in the utility, after searching out me box of spare lamps.

it did eventually dry up late afternoon and turned my attentions to a little summat I acquired a few weeks back that I have been pondering on ....
needed a little help to get it on the bench, so thought I'd enlist the 'new recruit' for some assistance ... more on this subject anon ;):giggle:
WP_20210808_17_28_36_Pro.jpg

wasn't sure he'd be up for it ...... but ........

.........little fella did well :giggle: ... 's a 120kgs ... handled it fine - I've no idea what to expect, lift wise from baby jake .... only ever dug with one before

so whilst it was still dry, 'fore tea, I thought I'd christen him and the new bucket in one hit .... and scrape off the top of me drain, round the edge of the patch, that gets the run off, off the bank, which'll hopefully decrease now that the vegetation is starting to establish itself ....
WP_20210808_18_15_33_Pro.jpg WP_20210808_18_15_44_Pro.jpg WP_20210808_18_21_05_Pro.jpg
didn't take me long to stuff two barrows ..... think it's time I had a conversation with our illustrious leader, @Regy53 , 'bout one of his Lumags ... these lil' sods're heavy and don't much fancy wheeling 'em to where they're going to have to end up :( might just fill a third one and stick 'em all in a trailer, to reduce the pushing bit, by A LOT ....
Might just run the ripper tooth through the 40mm after, when I've got it all done .... loosen it back up a little

Oh ....... and I scratched the 'galvanise' :) on the new bucket  and got it dirty  :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
