I thought I would give you an update on the installation of the new spool valve, There is a hose in the picture that is temporary as I am struggling to find what I believe are 3/4" UNF blanks. And Eureka, tried it and it works. Thanks again for all your help. Terry

It’s what I do!
Looks quite pretty Terry, maybe start making JBA mini diggers! Where are the 3/4 blanks going.

Thanks. The 3/4" blanks are to replace the old temporary hose that I had to fit once I diverted the slew lines to the new valve. The old hose with the wrapping hanging off just acts as blanking for the 2 redundant ports just so I could test the system. The blanks I got were not satisfactory, as there wasn't enough shoulder for the 'O' ring to seat against, so when I tightened the blank, they kept squishing out. I managed to seat 3 of them, but I am not confident they will last so will replace them once I source proper blanks. Any idea where best to source them? Thanks again.

I have attached a picture of the 2 plugs. The black one is the original and shows the wider shoulder for seating the 'O' ring. In the manual it refers to the ports in the valve block as being 3/4" - 16 if that helps? Terry

I would hazard a guess that they are JIC fittings, a 3/4 JIC has 16tpi unf.
If you use a bonded seal/dowty washer, rather than just an O ring, you should be OK with what you have.

Dowty’s don’t always work where there should be an O ring, due to the tapered seat just before the thread.

Any thoughts on where to source proper 3/4" UNF blanking plugs for above in the UK? I live in Scotland and all the ones I have see online seem really expensive and I only need about 4. Thanks, Terry
