Nacap Lawrence took a welded 48" gas main up and over a similar bank here many years ago, above Hafodrynys .... having come down an equally horrendous bank to the A472 main road at the bottom of the steep Vee sided valley and tunnelled under it ...... everything was on winches

best pic I can come up with on this new beast .... and took a bit of sussing

way too much throw in that .....would've vibrated like hell in use ...... look at the main face IMHDO .. too small a tail stock?? ... alarm bells should've rung when he end for ended it and it was throwing on the clock at the chuck

just watched part two so all the cert.s in creation mean sweet FA if you still end up with shite material ... even if the cert says it's good

once had a similar issue with supposedly cert.ed stock which could've proved disastrous ... making special lifting toggles ... all failed load testing ... had 'em metallurgically tested ... wrong material ... stock holder ended up paying a very big bill for ALL the costs ...

nice piece of work and loved the tail stock chuck to set up for min. throw initially ... anyone watch this one after
