Tidy job!The top is made up from 50x175mm beams, topped with 18mm MDF. The mdf is not ideal because it soaks up most fluids. Because the main layer is beams I needed something that gave me a nice smooth surface, hence the mdf. It is also cheap and very easy to replace if required.
I wanted something strong enough to take a gearbox or part of an engine block. Probably a bit over engineered but it works very well.
The drill stand next to it is also homemade. Unfortunately I forgot to take photo’s after this one. View attachment 20596
My next project is a welding table of some sort.
With 20mm hole pattern. Got an MDF version and it's brilliant for clamping etc.
