Log skidder the A frame at the back just touches the floor when lower and you can see still got a fair bit of travel on the lift side of things too welded a few clutch hooks to it along with a normal hook in the middle and a tote box for the chains

i use 2 of them hooks on a short chain to winch cars onto the recovery trucks- hook them on the lower arms or any where really, winch brothers we call them.

Just to piss Rory off collected this digger and trailer for less than scrap valuea lot less

there is a problem with it one of the Tyres’s is flat oh and the diggers engine is worn out so I’m told will stick a battery on her tomorrow and see what happens, think it may need rings if so will pull the engine out

tack weld some trailer wheels each end of the tracks, paint the top of the K in and send the new Romatsu off to China

What a horrible thing to work on if the starte motor needed replacing you have to d this

side weight off with side panel, cooling pack out (oil and water), fan out and alternator removed then you can just see the starter behind the engine by the bulkhead

and to remove the engine you have to take the hydraulic tank out to get at the engine mount bolt which is between the hydraulic pump and starter motor but can’t remove the tank until the pump is removed so have to unbolt everything and just wriggle things about
anyway all out and steam cleaned ready for the next step⚒

Could you not get to the starter through the cab through that hole?
What engine is in it?
Have you still got that big Cummins from the Ford de-icer you wouldn’t sell me?!...

Oh and found 4 cans of easy start behind the seat no wonder the engine’s kaput can turn the bottom pulley easily by hand
