I did ...... not been with them in some time Rory ... SSE are my BB providers ... but still using BT lines like the rest of the world... difference is SSE get top priority over BT customers for faults, etc.. ... The lad I'm dealing with is relentless in his pursuit of Openreach, to get it sorted ... have had 8 engineers here in the last 4 weeks ... and after our 35 hr outage has escalated it to a formal complaint for non provision and failure to provide acceptable service ..... should be yet another one here tomorrow, but as the thing is working again it's gonna be uphill tracing the issueI would tell BT to f**k themselves.

Do you have any sort of local broadband offering? Presume you'd be aware. The community "Barn" one up here is very good...and nowt to do with BT. full fat fibre direct to your house.

looked on the 'net a few weeks ago for 4G coverage .... said it didn't exist here .. every openreach engineer's box of tricks runs 4G and they all say it's perfect here .... so time to investigate going 4G and binning the land line .... who can tell me what .. again

Get on tinternet figure out best coverage. Get a 4Router with proper network for your puter.
Be warned they can rob you for over doing the bandwidth limit.

sadly not close enough ... Grosmont a few miles away have their own set up ... don't know what it is though, but they are too far out from either exchange to get anything workable individually

A local guy came out to my office, set up a router and tried 3 different sim cards and said Vodafone was best in the office! set it up and away he went, its been great and very fast!

been with Voda since I've had a moby, 30+ years ... good coverage round here and always have 5 bars at the house ... can see the mast across the valley ... Voda'd be my choice -- I can get service where most can't, round here
Just know sod all about moby BB

going back to this ...... been dealing with the guy's son on FB Marketplace ... all very amenable and had it sorted ... the father has a small machinery buy/sell biz ... rang him Friday a.m., as arranged to sort it all ... Old boy (sounded about 70+) says "ah I thought I was talking to you earlier and sold it to you " !!! "er no ??? , as arranged I'm calling you at 10 to sort it "
" I'll call you back in ten minutes" not heard a bloody word since ..... still up on FB and also listed on ebay - he has 100% feedback rating ... will try and speak with him again tomorrow, but bloody odd carry on .... was perfect 40" Mascot, good price and not at the other end of the country. ... had tranny sorted and he's called me twice to see if it's sorted to collect ... seller's making me look a right numpty !!

... or an older 17" with a 3" bore, but only a #4 MT tail quill Colchester's offerings in the running are a Mascot (3" bore) or a Mastiff with a 3.5" bore ... the one above was a 40" Mascot - #5MT quill
finding the shorter bed-ed bigger m/cs is hard work ... most are 2m+ beds and consequently BIG lumps .. 's rare you need more than a metre of travel

Yes those lost prices are a lot higher especially in % terms. What a rip off. I got the device for free too.
