4.30 today ... and Pam doing her usual clear up ... no point in paying Reo to tidy up .. he's there to get it down ... got a pic 'fore the sheet went on

Pam's been at the apples today .... and pressed a load (least i did, once she'd prepped 'em) ...... real juicy lil' buggers this year ... way more juice than last year's crop
one full press turned out damned near 4 litres and it ain't a very big press

can't stand it .... not sweet enough for my palate

got that pallet of bricks sorted, ready to move .....

a layer of new conc.s and the rest are circa 1936, from an old place of mine, all faced ...... if i don't band them down they walk ... and they're gonna get a.n.other loaded pallet on top for good measure

squared up a bit more odds an' sods ...... between the downpours ... amazed Reo has done so well today, considering the on/off weather we've had all day ..... looks set to be significantly better tomorrow it bloody well needs to be ... i's August fercrisesakes

It's best when you see some of them back at their own work looking for a fault and they don't even know where to start cos it's such a disgrace.

Used to have one regular balls heating systems up after 2 go's at one (it was slightly more complicated than normal as it required relays as switch side of boiler was 24v) i ended up rewiring it as he stood behind me talking him through what i was doing. Luckily it worked

Thing about domestic electrics is you don't see any of it it's all behind socket fronts or in ceilings or under floors. 99% of people never see it so aren't bothered as long as it all works. It's no different with plumbers now and plastic pipe, absolutely horrendous the quality of a lot of work under floors which you don't see.

I had a friend do all our plumbing a whole new wet heating system as the house used to be blown hot air
It's all in copper and it's all neat and tidy looks brilliant where has pipes crossing all the bends are spot on
I would not like to pay his full price though
And its a shame the electrician's have done such a poor job wiring the boiler in as it detracts from the plumbing work

One of my first jobs that I did for a mate after going self employed, and was pretty much covered by kitchen units afterwards!

just seen these on FB market place ...... unusual set up, but a clever design for site .... so much easier on a single wheel, than wrestling two about an uneven site

250 each @craig ... one 110v and one 240v ..... i saw them and thought what a great idea for getting 'em about ... heavy little sods on a skid or two wheels ... see if I can re-find the link for you

ive bought and sold a few items using it. You do get time wasters like anywhere. I’ve just bought a scarrifier for my mower on there. Brand new in box, £80-£100 on eBay.... for £20 and it was 10mins away!

We buy and sell all kinds of stuff locally on marketplace. It's a goldmine for cheap stuff if you are quick.

Picked this up for a tenner the other day - the seller even dropped it over! Luckily they were only round the corner.

have had a few bits from there ... that Sthil chainsaw i had a few months ago got spotted on there ... belonged to a mate, but wouldn't have known he was selling it without it being on there ..... not tried selling anything on there .... yet but TBH don't want Tom, Dick or Harry the pikie rocking up here .... the fewer prying eyes the better .... for the sake of a few quid ......
'tis good for bargains though, but do get lots of muppets selling ..... was a nice boot liner on there today for a RR ... she had no ****ing idea which model though --- "it fits a range rover .. is there more than one model? " but with only one wheel arch in it I find it highly unlikely it's a P38 ??
