it's only "a good scoop bucket " Stock, if you have the Miller hitch that it fits onto
...... and the ears I've attached to it will come back off in ten minutes if you did .. as it is, it's a good use of serviceable/brand new bucket that has a very limited market ......... and was too cheap to say no to

It's more the fact you're hitch has to fit inside the top of the bucket.

Imo you might find one with too much metal in the wrong spot, but I can’t see why most of them wouldn’t fit. Any bucket has the same thing, two bits of plate with pins between them, just because they are set into the top of the bucket doesn’t make any difference in my view.

I may be wrong but looking at the pics one issue may have been that his hitch was too wide fit.

Gra’s Hydrema is on 70mm pins and I’m guessing a 270-280mm dipper width? That Scoop bucket looked like it was on 65mm pins, and circa 250mm dipper width, at a glance, which would probably be the most popular pin size on 12-15t machines.
I was just curious as to why Gra said it had a limited market? So it must be a strange fitment?

There could be something they designed in spacing wise just to make it so you buy all your buckets off them. They made those scoop buckets for smaller diggers (probably still do) and I'm sure they were slightly different to most others.

Makes a big difference to the digging and breakout force which is why the were made, Had a scoop on a 450 volvo with a Dromone hitch, so it must depend on what machine it was originally ordered for.................................................................................. great bucket though.....................................................

James is fairly well equipped in the eyes like a s**t house rat dept. .. 60 pins at 430 ctrs .. big spread for a 60 pin .... and 250 wide .... yes I'm on 70s and 280 wide x 400 ctrs, so no chance of getting my Miller into it and the VA-r's Hill is 50mm pins ... but you'd all do what I've done for what it cost me ... it's never been on a machine .... i fully understand the design of the scoop Stock and must make a bif difference to break out ... my new pins are as low as I can get them .. without butchering the scoop and those pins are in deep ..... and yes Boyo it's a lovely bucket

FYI scoop buckets and hitches have a weird geometry to fit..... Hitch has to be right for it, not just any pingrabber will do.

Maybe for optimum performance, but other hitches will fit.
Not knocking the Miller, it’s my hitch of choice tbh, and I like the scoop buckets at a lot. I’d rather a Miller than the hitch I’ve just had arrive on a machine, which I believe to be a rebranded Geith, but beggars can’t be choosers sometimes, I can’t justify a change just to be fussy at the moment, and it will pick up the Scoop buckets no problem.

Is that an Oriel?............................................if it is then, it is made by the original owner of Geith engineering which were bought by Doosan some time back....................................................................................................

that was my understanding too Rory .... as said those pins are deeeeeep in the bucket's internal cheeks ... not just any old hitch'll do
