R.E Thumbs.... I don't like them. BUT if mounted correctly on the right machine even a manual thumb is a game changer. Our Kobelco has earned alot of money due to it.

With Regard Rotation on grabs.... It's useful if your on demolition or liable to be clearing lengths of timber, but beyond that don't worry about it being essential.... Done plenty of Demolition with the fixed kinshoffer and the thumb for that matter.

If Ollie put teeth on his I guess he must have holes to pin them on. Would also mean you could have a flat plate made up and welded to spare teeth so easy to put on if needed. Maybe Ollie has photos? I think I have seen a picture of it when the teeth were new, but can't remeber how they were fitted.

That would be my thought too @doobin - some teeth for the tips possibly with welded on tabs to allow them to be bolted through higher up the tines where there is more metal. Bit of fabbing to create but doable I’d imagine.
It is a lot more difficult to come up with an easily removable secure solution on these small grabs than it is on the bigger equivalents though obviously!

My missus is an english teacher and she hates me for some of the things i do but then again i left school with nothing after getting exspelled.
The amount of times i get 12 year olds get it Danny why cant you i swear my brain takes in what it wants to and switches of to the rest

I'm leaning towards a studding coupler welded on near the bottom of the tines with a keeper bolt in it when not in use. That would be simplest and strongest, so long as it doesn't interfere with using the grab the rest of the time.
