Yeah Wacker ez26 is tippy but gutsy. Very well built machine though. That Kubota having to activate hydraulics every time you get in sounds like a right pain in the arse- I couldn't own that

Yeah it really is. Worse yet is when you turn on the ignition and press the aux button to depressurise the system. Only to realise after disconnecting the hoses that the aux didn't engage and you can't get the hoses back on. It often engages one set of aux lines but not the other etc

I think the develon is the cheapest mainstream machine with AC few months back it was just under 30k.
I can just squeeze my Milwaukee fan between the seat and rear window on my 8026 it's not great but at least it blows some air around the cab.
Neither of the sany 2.6t have ac, it's an option on the JCB 26c but knocks it north of 30k if specified

Have you had a go in the Develon? It's pretty cheap compared to all the others for the spec.

Fwiw i had a dx35 for a bit, and although i didn't find the cab that comfortable it was one of the best mini's ive ever driven, smooth as silk

At least jcb can have a bit of paper wedged down the side of the switch to hold it down. Don't know if you can do the same with the yanmar

As an update I have finally taken delivery of bobcat e27. There are a couple of creases to iron out but I'm looking forward to putting it to work and seeing how it does. It came with a short blade despite being ordered with a long blade, so that needs swapping out. I've noticed a few deep scratches in the paint so considering what everyone says about the paintwork I'll get them touched up before the whole lot comes off. @CPS s30 top hitch is a really neat little hitch, still waiting for some buckets and a tilty to follow.

Out of interest does anyone prefer a short blade to a long one? I'm often working on steep slopes so the extra length is a bit less unnerving.

If you are using your blade to keep you upright on steep ground be very aware that pushing the lever all of the way forwards for more lift in a panic/emergency/to prevent impending doom actually sticks it into float and removes all of its assistance instantly….
Great machines though - sounds like the same new-machine care from your supplier as when I bought mine in terms of being delivered with damage though sadly.

Thanks for the heads up. I learned the hard way in an 8t cat but it was big enough not to tip over. It's nice on the bobcat that you actually have to push the lever pretty firmly to get it past the detent, others I've used just flopped forward. Maybe that will come with time

Closer the blade is in the less it has to lift to equal the same height as a long one on a slope. But a long one used on a slope gives more stability because of the angle it curves down at.

For my work shorter is better. I've owned a fair mix of long and short bladed minis.

Looks like a nice machine I would prob keep blade thats on it - presume you can clean up to it nicely ?

I prefer a longer blade myself, better clean up against it and you can give yourself a real lift on a slope which is great if your levelling with a post knocker etc. but some machines dont have as much travel in the blade and can be a bit of a nuisance crossing ditches, stumps and the like.

Congrats! Sure it will serve you well. But I would NOT be happy to have a machine delivered new with any scratches in it let alone deep ones!

You can clean up to it but needs full offset and then only a third of the grading bucket up against the blade. I have found myself in situations with a long blade where I have to turn the machine around so the blade doesn't hit something, but priority for me is stability on slopes. The short blade makes for a lot more space on the trailer bed too.

Typical fencing job this week, not mega steep but definitely steep enough for the machine to be unsettled lifting the post knocker above cab height. Not sure if I'd be comfortable with the short blade. Looking forward to getting the bobcat set up and see how it compares to the Kubota.
