I couldn’t believe they got into bed with Ford for a new transporter given all the issues with the Ford . The used transporters with low miles will be at premium nowWhat on earth they were thinking is beyond me.
Just been in VW van centre. Asked him how new transporters are selling...pulled a wry face and said everyone wants the old ones 🫣
Just had transporter 26 plate for a few days as loan van. Drove ok but felt crap compared to old one. So tinny. Rear door felt like it was made of bean cans. Absolute cockup from VW imo.We used to buy all fords, the last 4 have been anything but ford, it's not just the wet belt either the whole engine is weak

Division of Labor: Under the agreement, Ford develops medium vans and pickups (like the Transit Custom, the Ford-built VW Transporter, the Ford Ranger, and the Ranger-based VW Amarok), while Volkswagen develops smaller city vans like the VW Caddy, which is also rebadged as the Ford Transit Connect.Vw sold the transporter to Ford ,they sell the bu

Found this on web
Also ford are dumping the wet belt going to chain in 2027
Is it not something to do with VW being on their knees financially and had no option but cheap out on some of their models to stay afloat rather than development costs of their own . Similar thing with the crafter and TGE , it's helped both brands
Go woke go brokeI think there was an article about the I.d range nearly bankrupting them and being one of the worst performing ranges the company has ever produced
I think the Chinese car companies are going to absolutely crush the likes of VW.Go woke go broke
