The wife bought me this in Hunstanton yesterday, early birthday present (8th June if you’re interested). Painted by a chap called Roy Didwell, who used to be an operator and is one of the few people I take my hat off to on a Drott or a dozer. Inspiring me to pick up the brushes.

that is a very nice rendition, fair play .. we had an artist locally, who was very good at technical stuff ... did a lot of 'interpretation work' for BWW ... Pam paid him to do one of my old workshop for Crimbo one year .. can see every brick in the original - not the best copy pic and a bit dark

I’d forgotten how bad the old froggies were for rust. I don’t get filling a yard up with cars like that and just letting them rust out. The chap I did the work for is a neighbour and the boundaries seem a little, erm, fluid. He’ll find out where they are when he starts building.

This weekend’s last-minute.com job. An old customer was let down late in the day. Bigger job than I normally take on with the K008 as it was digging through a layer of hard core (unbelievable what gets dumped and covered over on house sites) sitting over hard packed blue and brown clay. I think the architect was a nervous type, 2’ wide, 3-1/2’ deep for a single storey. Plenty of room until the last five meters and at the end my arse was scraping both fences to get the swing through the gate. First time using a KC70, got to say it was a good dumper, just a bit slow.

probably be back in a few weeks to do the oversite and generally civilise everything up

Postscript, went back last week to dig off the oversite, put in a soak away and level the bottom end of the garden. I take back what I said about the KC 70, high range worked on this one.
